Had someone call earlier claiming to be from HMRC, trying to scare me into pressing 1 or else face arrest. Total scam alert, be careful out there!

Got a robo call saying it was HMRC with a recorded message claiming my name was under review. It told me to press 1 to talk to an advisor, otherwise I’d be arrested soon. Didn’t press anything and here I am, no sign of any arrest yet!

Yesterday and today I've had a couple of calls from someone saying they're with Paypal. When I picked up today, the person asked for me using my maiden name. Then they wanted me to verify my email address, supposedly for data protection reasons! I told them no way would I share any info just because they called me out of the blue.

I nearly fell for a scam pretending to be from HMRC about some dodgy tax stuff. Glad I checked it out first, felt like a proper con!

I've been receiving repeated calls from this number, and the recorded message claimed it was from HMRC, stating they were pursuing legal action against me. Given that I'm currently unwell, this has left me quite distressed. I can tell it's a scam, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Absolutely, I've experienced the same nonsense! I simply decided to block the number. It’s utterly infuriating that these crooks haven’t been caught yet! If anyone else receives a call from them, there's no need to panic; it’s just a scam. Do yourself a favour: block the number and move on. It's downright disgusting how they manage to scare so many people!

I've received a call from this number claiming to be from HMRC. When I inquired about how they obtained my number, they insisted that HMRC possesses all such information. I pointed out that my number is brand new, and they abruptly hung up on me! Strange behaviour, if you ask me.

Got calls from this number a couple times today (14/3/19) but when I didn’t pick up it just cut off. Tried calling back on my landline, but a message said the number isn’t working. After reading all the reviews here, there’s no way I’m answering again! I’ve blocked two different lines already, but I’m pretty sure they’ve got loads more numbers to ring from.

I never pick up calls from 0300 numbers. This time no voicemail was left either, so I looked it up here and apparently it's best to just keep ignoring these calls. I've gone ahead and blocked the number. HMRC wouldn’t ring you like this about any tax problems - they always send letters instead if there’s something wrong.

I just had a rather concerning call from this number. A very articulate gentleman was on the line, insisting that if I didn’t press 1, I’d have the police knocking at my door and facing arrest. Quite unnerving, to say the least!

Got a voicemail from someone with an American accent saying the tax people, HMRC, are looking into me for tax fraud. They warned me that if I don't hit 1 to chat with them, they'll send out a warrant for my arrest. Felt like a total scam to me.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke with a robot voice telling me I was going to be arrested soon for tax fraud. Pretty stressful at first but I knew straight away it was just a scam.

Received a call from a gentleman with an Asian accent, but I couldn’t quite tell if it was a pre-recorded message or someone who’d honed their lines. He was prattling on about a supposed tax fraud accusation aimed at me. Honestly, it felt like a total con job! I thought these scams were supposed to be a thing of the past.

I got a call the other day from a number saying it was HMRC, with a recorded message claiming someone used my name for tax fraud. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone. When I did, the line just went dead. Felt a bit off since I had actually spoken to HMRC the weekend before. Not sure if it was legit or a scam. The number looked proper enough though, so I'm really curious what’s going on.

I got a call from a bloke with a strong regional accent, but it was a recorded message. Interestingly, a very similar number (03002003636) rang me just yesterday afternoon as well. Feels like some scammers have managed to get hold of numbers that resemble HMRC lines and are pestering folks. Definitely seems dodgy to me!

Just got a call from 03002003620, sounded a lot like someone who called about an hour ago. It was one of those automated messages claiming to be about a legal matter from HMRC. When I pressed 1 like it said, it replied with something like "thanks for your poll" then the call ended abruptly. Definitely sounded dodgy.
