Got a robocall from hmrc, saying they were investigating me for tax fraud and to press a button or something. I just ended the call straight away.

No answer, just a 21-second ring before hanging up - typical of a scam call.

Got a call from this number earlier, claiming I was going to be arrested over some HMRC fraud. I’d just chatted to HMRC yesterday about my tax so I nearly fell for it. The caller had a thick accent and was talking really quickly and harshly, which made it hard to make out what they were saying. I’ve blocked them now.

just got a call from this number a moment ago. they had an asian accent, maybe indian, and sounded like they were trying to scam me. it’s worrying that details about small businesses and such arent easy to find on sites like company house or hmrc. it means people’s info can easily end up in the hands of dodgy scammers like this one 0300 200 3624. not right at all!

I got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, but the people on the other end had strong Indian accents. I asked them some basic questions and they couldn’t even tell me HMRC’s website or official phone number. When I said I’d report them to the police, they just hung up straight away. Be careful and don’t share any details with these scammers!

I got a call claiming to be from HMRC saying I was involved in fraud and that I had to press a button to talk to an official or I'd be arrested. This is a total scam because HMRC never make automated calls or ask you to press numbers like that. Just a heads up to everyone, I’m reporting this to the police. Be careful out there!
