Had this automated call from “HMRC” saying I was going to be arrested for fraud unless I hit 1. They said if I didn’t respond, a warrant would be out and police would come for me. Total scam! It’s awful how these con artists try to frighten people into pressing something. Someone less careful might fall for it. They really need to shut these scammers down.

Got a call that lasted like 8 seconds before they just dropped it! Not sure who it was - if it was HMRC, I dunno how they even managed to call me since I’m on the TPS list. Anyway, blocked the number straight away!

This number rang me earlier and said I should press 1 about some sort of fraud. I ended up chatting to a bloke who asked for my name and how old I am, but then he just hung up on me. I'm a bit worried now I might have given away too much. Can someone tell me how they could use this info to scam me?
