Got a call from someone saying if I didn't hit 1, HMRC would be coming after me for fraud. Proper scared me, sounded like a total scam.

Out of nowhere I got a call saying I'd be arrested for tax fraud if I didn't act. They told me to press 1 to talk about it... Lucky I didn’t, sketchy number was 03002003557.

I got the exact same message as Lynn did, and I definitely didn’t hit 1 or anything. The number ringing me was 030002003557.

Received a call from someone saying they were from HMRC and told me to press 1 to speak to an officer. They even threatened that if I didn’t press it, I’d have a warrant out for me. Clearly a scam, so best to just ignore it and don’t press anything! The number they called from was ‭0300 200 3557‬.

They told me I'd get arrested for tax fraud if I didn’t smash the number 1 on my phone. Pretty sure it was just some dodgy scam trying to scare me.

Got a robocall saying it was HMRC, telling me I was under investigation for some tax fraud and had to speak to an advisor pronto. The number that showed up was 0300 200 3557.
