Callers do not confirm personal details but insist on urgent responses, attempting to elicit fear or compliance. Users strongly advise ignoring these calls, hanging up immediately, and not engaging with any prompts. This scam is well-documented and should be treated with caution, as genuine HMRC correspondence would never demand instant action via automated phone calls or threaten arrest without due process.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they’re with HMRI and they’re looking into me for tax fraud. They said if I don’t press 1 to speak to the ‘officer’ right away, an arrest warrant would be sent out. Proper dodgy sounding if you ask me.

Got two calls today claiming I'm some kind of fraud and threatening to arrest me. Funny how these con artists never seem to end up behind bars, yet I’m the one getting hassled just for doing my tax properly. Total scam. Honestly, just shove it and find a proper job. What a bunch of muppets.
