At around half past five today, I got a call from this number but didn't pick up. They left a voicemail threatening me with a warrant and said I'd be arrested soon. Honestly, I'm not really sure what to make of it.

Got a robo call saying it was from HMRC, telling me to press 1 to chat with an advisor. Don’t even bother, block the number straight away. They call from numbers that are nearly the same, like 300200 but with different endings. I looked it up online and loads of people say it’s a scam - if you actually talk to the “advisor” they try to get you to send them cash. Just ignore and block!

I just don't get how folks can be so cruel. If I'd been an elderly lady or someone more vulnerable, this would have really shaken me up. Honestly, there ought to be rules to put an end to these calls.

I got a call from some robotic voice claiming it was HMRC saying I have a tax issue. It kept telling me to press one to talk to an agent, and threatened I'd be arrested if I didn’t. Sounds dodgy to me.

Hey, I just got a call like that too, and I'm sitting here feeling really scared. I'm a woman and my husband’s out at work.

I've been getting loads of calls on my phone, with the last few digits changing each time. It's always some American automated voice accusing me of tax fraud and saying the HMRC need to have a word with me. Thing is, I don't even have a job or pay any tax, so it's obvious nonsense. Honestly, it's a bit insulting how they reckon folks will fall for this. I feel sorry for older people who might actually be scared by these calls. Is there any way to put a stop to them? They're really irritating.

So this person said they were from HMRC and told me there was some sort of fraud case against me. They said if I didn't press 3 to speak with them, I'd have a warrant for my arrest. Yeah right, like I’m scared of that! Honestly though, it’s pretty disturbing how convincing these calls can be. Please don't get caught out by this rubbish, it’s totally a scam. - caller: Pretended to be HMRC

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC about an arrest warrant. I know HMRC usually sends letters, they wouldn’t just phone you out of the blue. This definitely sounds like a scam and should be reported. The caller is not legit!

So I kept getting calls from loads of different numbers, they only switch up the last couple of digits each time. The bloke on the line said he was from HMRC, warning me about some tax fraud and told me to press 1 or else I’d get arrested. Clearly a scam. I just keep blocking every number that calls. - caller: HMRC
