Like quite a few folks have said, got a "Tax Fraud - press 1" call. I just ended it straight away.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC saying there’s some fraud case against me and if I didn’t hit 1 right away, I’d be nicked! 😂 The number was 0300 200 3427 - total nonsense, of course.

It was one of those dodgy calls, obviously a scam. They wanted me to give my personal info, but if it was really the tax office, they’d have that already right? I called them out on it and they just ended the call straight away!

Got a voicemail saying something about me owing tax and facing arrest, told me to press 1. When I called back, some Indian bloke was really rude and pushy, asking loads of personal stuff. I gave him my name but then my mate said I should just hang up, so I did.

Got calls from these numbers: 0300 200 3506 and 0300 200 3427. There's a recorded message claiming HMRC has flagged me for tax fraud and telling me to press 1 to speak with someone, otherwise a warrant will be issued. Total scam. Don’t press 1, just hang up right away. Avoid these numbers!
