i got a call sayin there was a warrant out for me and that hmrc was gonna freeze all my accounts if i didn't pay up. totally sounded like a scam to me. if anyone else gets this, just ignore and block the number, no point wasting time chatting with these cowards.

Almost got scammed but caught them just in time! This bloke called claiming to be from HMRC, said I owed some cash. Sounded quite convincing and was really polite too. I just told him straight up I’m retired and don’t owe a penny, then told him where to stick his “bill”. Blocked the number and reported it directly through HMRC’s official site. They have a section for reporting scams and phishing which makes it simple to alert them about these dodgy calls. Proper way to deal with scammers, in my opinion.

Just received a call claiming to be from HMRC, telling me there’s a tax fraud case against me and if I didn’t hit 1, the coppers would be sent round. I didn’t press anything - fingers crossed it’s not my grandson who’s a police officer, or we’d both be red-faced! They said I’ve got 45 minutes, so plenty of time to take the dog out. Bit of a strange day with all these scams. Oh, and I got a text from the beauty salon earlier too.

Got a call from this really posh bloke saying he was from HMRC, told me I was involved in some fraud case. Seemed kinda believable at first, but then he started rambling that if I didn’t press 1 straight away, I’d be arrested. Definitely hung up on him and blocked the number. Don’t fall for it, mate.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be from customs and something about 'her majesty'. Didn't even bother staying on the line, just ended the call and blocked it instantly.
