Nearly got caught out, some bloke said I'd be nicked if I didn’t pay up. I said I’d sort a payment plan for a £2000 tax fraud, but told 'em I wasn’t giving any bank info unless they showed me my tax code password first. They ended the chat sharpish, telling me there’d be a warrant out for my arrest if I didn’t pay.

somebody rang saying they were from hmrc and that i was in trouble for fraud and could get arrested. total nonsense, just told them to sod off and ended the call.

Just like all the other calls, this one was about some tax scam saying I’m gonna be arrested or something. Good thing I looked up the number first, not sure everyone would be so careful. Seriously feels like something needs to be done about these dodgy calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the tax department warning me about some fraud issue. They told me to hit 1 on the phone or else they’d send a warrant for my arrest. Of course, I didn’t press a thing.

This number has called me twice already, threatening that I'll be arrested. It's horrible how they keep doing this without getting caught! I'm definitely going to report it to the police.

This number pretends to be from HMRC, warning you that you'll be arrested if you don't pick up. When I answered, the call was put through to a centre in India or somewhere else in Asia. They tried to verify my identity by asking for personal details. Since they called me first, I asked what info they already had - just my name and number, nothing more. After I wouldn’t share anything else, they started threatening me with police arrest, which is a load of rubbish since the police don’t handle HMRC issues.

Just got another call from someone claiming to be HMRC, threatening arrest if I didn’t press 1 to speak to them. I’ve dealt with these calls before. This time they asked if I wanted to talk to their lawyers, I said no and asked for a password instead. Then I got put through to the real tax office and they ended the call straightaway.
