Just like others here, I received this dodgy robo call claiming there’s some tax scam and said it was from HMRC. Seriously, don’t hit 1 or you’ll probably get stuck with who knows what!

Received a call like this not long ago, seriously, HMRC would never reach out like that. Ended the call right away. These scammers must be absolute muppets to think this works! Claiming to be from government is a whole other level of dodgy - it’s actually illegal: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2013/22/schedule/5/part/7/crossheading/impersonation-of-designated-officer-etc - number they used was 0300 200 2230.

Got a call from 0300 200 2230 with one of those robotic messages, so I just cut the call off straight away. Feels like these creeps have gotten their hands on some kind of personal info. Honestly, it’s no surprise with all the hacks happening to major firms these days!
