So today this number popped up on my phone, and it was one of those automated calls saying I'm involved in some tax fraud investigation and to press 1 to speak with someone about it. Sounded dodgy to me, so I've gone ahead and blocked 03002002226 already.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying there's a fake tax problem with my name. They warned if I didn't hit 1 to talk to an agent, I'd get arrested. Sounded like a total scam, so I just blocked the number. It was from 0300 200 2226.

Got a call from 0300 200 2226 saying I was being investigated by HMRC. Didn’t wait around, just blocked the number straight away. Always the same kind of scam these days.
