I received a rather alarming call today from a gentleman with a strong foreign accent who attempted to intimidate me with threats of legal action, all the while accusing me of tax evasion! Clearly, this isn’t the HMRC at all! Just a group of fraudsters who don’t even hail from the UK. Best to block these fools and be done with the nonsense!

Someone just called me claiming to be from HMRC, threatening arrest. I’d already blocked a similar number, but they somehow got through again. Do NOT pick up or press 1 - it’s a total scam to steal your cash. These people are just nasty scammers.

Going through these comments really opened my eyes. I was already suspicious it was a scam, but I can totally see how an older person could get caught out. These scammers are absolute lowest of the low, proper parasites. It’s sad how many of them are out there trying to cheat us outta the money we worked hard for! Got a call from someone saying I'd be arrested by the HMRC, which is odd cos they can't actually arrest anyone. I mentioned I work there myself and they suddenly just ended the call. Quite strange!
