Got a call from someone sayin he was officer Kevin Smith, using this number, claimin I owed £2550 in back taxes. They threatened a £45000 fine through court if I didn’t sort it. Thankfully, they didn't ask for my birth date, otherwise they’d have seen their records were wrong and said I was 'tyr old' when the tax was supposedly due. Not very smart on their part!

Got a call from this number earlier claiming to be from the tax office. They told me I owed more than £1300 in unpaid tax. My wife answered and told them my taxes are all sorted and asked for their name. They just hung up straight away. I then told her that the real tax office wouldn’t just ring out of the blue like that!

I received a rather alarming call today, claiming that I was under investigation for tax evasion by Her Majesty's Treasury. They insisted that I press 1 to speak to a representative, warning that failure to do so would result in my immediate reporting and subsequent arrest. I decided it was best to hang up and now find myself anxiously awaiting the arrival of the police!
