Absolutely - it’s without a doubt a scam phone call! I received one myself today. It started with a robotic masculine voice, then it prompted me to hit 1 to chat with an operator. Just don't fall for it! The HMRC would never reach out to you like that, claiming you’re under investigation or on the verge of arrest.
