Got a call from Douglas Jackson claiming to be from a recruitment firm, but it was clearly just another cold call.

The number really belongs to HMRC. I found it while going through calls saved on my phone. It matches the one on a letter I’d been sent and also the official site. It’s for the HMRC Charities Department. Just a heads up, they rarely answer if you ring them directly. Using their web chat seems to be a lot more effective.

Got a letter saying it was from HMRC about a charity donation refund - they gave a number to ring with bank info. The letter was addressed to my dad, who died over a year ago now, like 15 months back, so I don’t see how any donation could have come from him. Just wanted to check the number wasn’t dodgy before doing anything.
