Received a call today, 18th Jan 2017. My phone flagged it as a possible scam, so I blocked the call. They left a robotic voicemail asking me to ring back the same number and mention a reference code. I checked the student loans website for their official number and spoke with a rep who said there’s nothing on my account about any calls, and that SLC doesn’t phone students. They told me to ignore the call and get in touch with the Counter Fraud department (I won’t put the number here, best to check with SLC directly for the latest info).
