I got a call from some dodgy people claiming they needed to get into my computer so they could fix some issues. Sounded like a total scam to me.

I got a call from this number, some bloke said he was from Microsoft, warning me my computer had been hacked for the past fortnight and they had to fix it right away. I knew straight away it was bull because I don’t even have a personal computer. When I threw a question at him, he got all twitchy and annoyed. I ended the call, but then he rang back and just started giggling non-stop and banging on buttons. Honestly, it felt kinda creepy and I’m sure it could scare someone who’s not ready for that kinda behaviour.

this number rang me on 15th jan 2021, as soon as i picked up they just cut off. not the initial time either, these lot try to hack into your computer or steal credit card details then infect your device with malware. they told me they were from bt and said there was an issue with my computer, but i knew right away it was a scam.

Some bloke called me, trying to trick me into visiting a website that would let him take over my computer. I messed about with him for a bit just for laughs. Eventually, I went ahead and blocked his number.

I informed them that they must have got it wrong since I don't own a computer, and then I simply hung up.

He was really impolite, told me to f##k off and just ended the call when I refused to give any details. I asked him a couple of times what he was after, but all he kept saying was that I had issues with my computer. I dont even have a computer! I told him where to shove it and then dropped the call.

I received a rather alarming phone call asserting that I required assistance with my computer. The caller was quite vague, failing to provide any identification or company information. When I requested to be taken off their calling list, their demeanour shifted dramatically, becoming increasingly rude and even intimidating. I've never experienced such anger during a call before; they outright threatened to ring me daily and even mentioned my wife. This surely borders on harassment and I absolutely refuse to let this behaviour slide. I will be reporting this incident to both BT and the Telephone Preference Service.

Tonight at 6.43pm, this number rang me too. I just hung up right after saying hello. I’m fed up with all these scam calls. My number is ex-directory, so no idea how they managed to find it.

I just received a call moments ago from a chap of Asian descent, claiming to represent the firm responsible for looking after my IP server. I couldn't resist asking, "That sounds fascinating! So, which provider is my server connected to?" At that point, the line went dead rather abruptly.

this number called me 3 times today, definitely some kind of scam. i decided to humour them and just kept stringing them along, making up silly excuses to chew up their time. if anyone else has the patience, just pretend your computer’s acting up and you need to reboot or something. i ended up running them around for about 25 minutes and they even said they'll ring me again tomorrow! unbelievable really.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the technical department, asserting that my computer was having issues. Naturally, I questioned how he would even know such things about my device, as it struck me as quite ridiculous. Instead of addressing my concerns, he resorted to hurling insults, calling me a daft bint over and over. I instructed him to cease contacting me and promptly hung up. Yet, it seems he’s now persistent in ringing me, making lewd comments that are utterly inappropriate. I've decided to ignore the calls entirely. It's just pitiful, really!

They attempted to persuade me that they could resolve the sluggish performance on my computer! Coincidentally, I was grappling with some tech troubles when they rang, and had just sent off error reports. I probed them a bit, and it turned out they intended to remove corrupted files, which sounded a bit too dodgy for my liking. I asked about the charges, and they casually mentioned installing a new antivirus that would supposedly last nine years, all for a hefty £160! Just a classic scam-hand over your bank details and you’re caught.

I've just received calls tonight on both my home and work numbers, as well as on my son's mobile. How on earth did they obtain my details? The caller was a woman who spoke with an Indian accent. I attempted to return the call, but the message I got stated that the number wasn't valid. The numbers in question are 01795 870300 and 01795 870400. Best, Kim Irwin

I recently received a rather bothersome phone call from a rather clueless chap who insisted on questioning whether I was near a computer. He was supposedly ringing to offer "Technical Support" for my device, yet when I pressed him for clarity on the call’s intent, he went completely silent after I posed the question thrice. Quite baffling, really!

I’ve been bombarded with a flurry of calls from this number, one right after the other. When I inquired about the company, the individual on the line-a rather cheeky Indian caller-spelled out an expletive as if that were the name of the firm. Honestly, it feels like it's high time to put an end to these incessant nuisance calls. Surely there must be a way to put a stop to this nonsense, don’t you think?

I just had a rather frustrating conversation with a rather haughty gentleman sporting a prominent Indian accent, who claimed to be from some tech department associated with Windows, or so he said. I kindly requested that he take my number off his call list and refrain from contacting me again. When he then inquired about speaking to my husband, I firmly declined, at which point he abruptly cut the line. Quite odd behaviour, really!

I received a call from this number earlier today. The person on the other end claimed to be calling from technical support for my computer. When I probed a bit and asked for their name, they merely reiterated that they were from tech support. Curious about the purpose of their call, I pressed for more details, but they abruptly ended the conversation by hanging up. Quite odd, to say the least!

I received a phone call earlier today, claiming there was an issue with my telephone line and that the caller was representing my computer support service. When I expressed my scepticism and requested the name of his company, he promptly disconnected the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Definitely dodgy. I just picked up a call from this number and there was complete silence for a good 5 seconds, then a guy spoke with a thick Indian accent and really bad English. He claimed he was from my computer’s tech support. I knew right away it was a scam so I hung up right away without a word. Honestly, anyone else getting this call should do exactly the same. I’m also planning to report this number to the fraud authorities.

Upon answering a call from this number, my wife grew increasingly anxious, fearing there might be an issue with our laptop. I decided to pop into the nearest computer repair shop for advice, and they were quick to inform me that it’s a blatant scam, best ignored. Apparently, they manage to obtain your phone number through numerous shady methods and call you hoping that you might have Avanti protection, which many people do since it’s typically offered at no charge. **UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR ALLOW THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!!!** Feel free to let them know that they've reached the fraud department if they persist!

I've had a couple of calls from this number earlier today. Every time I pick up, they just disconnect. I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service and have even set my phone to block international calls, but these pesky calls still manage to come through. Being on shifts makes it even more frustrating, and aside from disconnecting my phone altogether, I really can’t find a way to put an end to this nonsense. It’s maddening! 😄

The typical scenario, really-an Indian voice attempting to disguise itself behind a very British name. He claimed to represent the tech support team for my computer supplier. However, before he could elaborate, I called him out for the fraud that he is and promptly ended the call.

Had a call this evening from someone with a notably thick Indian accent. I informed him that my computer was perfectly fine and insisted on knowing how he procured my number. Instead of answering, he told me to 'calm down' or he'd cut the call, so I decided to end the conversation myself. What’s particularly alarming is that my young lad, just ten years old, picked up the phone and they seemed quite eager to extract information from him.

Received two calls from this number today. I missed the initial attempt, but after looking it up, they rang me again. To my surprise, the caller mentioned my name and address, seeking confirmation. I firmly expressed that I wasn't going to comply, suspecting him to be yet another nuisance caller. Despite his insistence that he wasn't, I reminded him that I'd registered with the Telephone Preference Service to avoid such interruptions and that my details were ex-directory.
