I asked what exactly was covered and he mentioned the TV, remote, and cables. I told him I wasn’t sure I even had those, but he insisted I did. When I asked when I supposedly took out the insurance, he gave a date from August last year. The whole thing sounded fishy since I don’t even own a TV in this flat. Oddly, he never asked for me by name, so maybe he’d dialled the wrong number. When I asked who he was after, he just hung up. That pretty much nailed it as a scam to me.
