I used to be based in Cardiff and still have relatives living there. Got a missed call on my phone recently from this number. From what I've seen from others, I had a pretty similar experience around 4 months back, a bloke claiming to be from Nationwide call centre. The postcode he gave was wrong too. I told him I didn’t think he was legit. Then I phoned Nationwide’s fraud department. They were really decent and promised to keep an eye on my account.

Got a call today from someone saying they were from Nationwide, but they used my previous postcode. They kept pushing me for my new one but I told them if they were legit Nationwide, they’d already have it. Then they just ended the call.

Got a call earlier from someone saying they were with Nationwide Credit Card Services. They asked for me by name, then wanted me to confirm my postcode, if I'm between 20 and 79, and if I’m satisfied with my bank at the moment. After that, they just said thanks and ended the call.

Some bloke said he was from Nationwide, had my name but used an old postcode. I told him he wasn’t with Nationwide cos I spoke to them not long ago and they got the right postcode. Then he just cut me off.

She kept asking for me by name and said she was calling from something nationwide. The connection was terrible so I asked her to say it again a few times, then she just dropped the call. Honestly, I doubt the real nationwide would have just ended the call like that!!

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent saying he was from Nationwide Building Society. He already knew my name and postcode and asked if I was satisfied with my online credit card stuff. When I told him I didn’t bank with Nationwide, he just said 'Alright then, that’s all I needed to ask' and ended the call. Definitely a scam!
