After reading the other comments, it's obvious this is one of those annoying cold calls, and seems pretty dodgy with all the swearing and rude remarks people mentioned. If they ring again, I’ll be blowing my whistle right down the phone!

Didn’t pick up on either call and have since blocked both. Makes me think just how many UK numbers they must be using to keep bombarding folks with these random calls.

Got a call from an asian guy saying he was from nationwide building society. I dont bank with them at all. He already had my name and postcode. I refused to say anything until he explained what the call was about. Then he said it was regarding my head and his tail, which made me say “sorry what?” He then repeated my postcode and asked if it was my address. When I asked where he got my info, he just hung up on me. Strange stuff!

I got a call saying there’d been a car accident connected to my number sometime in the past couple of years, and supposedly it wasn’t my fault. I decided to humour them just to see where it would lead and asked how they’d got my number. The person claimed it was from the ‘Road Standards Agency’, which I found odd. I pointed out that there’s no such organisation in the UK, and even if there were, they wouldn’t just be handing out phone numbers like that. I reckoned the company must have purchased a database of numbers and are cold calling people to push claims that don’t exist. Credit where it’s due, the caller didn’t just hang up on me, but honestly, these types of calls are so annoying trying to convince folks to claim for something they have no reason to.
