Whenever I get calls from numbers I don’t know, I pick up and say something like “Yeah, the job’s finished, there’s blood everywhere, and I left the package in the park spot you mentioned.” Pretty sure they get the hint!

Got a call from someone overseas claiming to be doing a survey about washing machines. When I asked what the call was for, he wanted me to verify my postcode and then asked if I was older than 51. I said no, then he just repeated the question louder like I didn’t get it. Told him again I’m younger and ended the call. Proper annoying and rude nuisance!

Someone who wasn’t from the UK called and asked for me by name. Their accent was hard to follow and they wouldn’t say which firm they were ringing on behalf of. I ended up just hanging up.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT, saying my internet would be down for a couple of weeks because hackers were using my IP to download spam. Then a man, also Asian, called saying he was a senior technician and asked for my computer details so he could 'fix' the problem by accessing it remotely. I told them I wanted some proof they were legit, but he kept pushing and wouldn't take no for an answer. So I just hung up.

They claimed to be from Sky and said they needed to update my card info. I fed them loads of rubbish details. When they asked for a reference number, I just made one up wrong on purpose. After nearly 20 minutes of them “checking” for my card to get my bank info, I told him to jog on - hopefully he got the message loud and clear!!!!

Got a call from an asian lady saying my internet would be cut off in 5 days cause we’d supposedly downloaded hacker stuff by accident. We just played along, said we’d give her our passwords and bank info right away, which seemed to throw her off and then we ended the call.

I keep getting calls from this number, claiming there’s an issue with my internet and that it'll be switched off tomorrow if I don’t respond. I’ve hung up several times, but they don’t seem to take the hint and keep trying! They say they’re from BT, but I suspect it’s all a scam. At my age, I really don’t need this kind of bother. The way these phone scam people talk is getting more convincing. This bloke said he was from BT at first. When I told him I don’t use BT for internet, he said it didn’t matter because the equipment underneath belongs to BT, which sounded kinda believable. Then I hit him with my usual trick and asked who the CEO of BT was. At first, he claimed he was the CEO himself, but then he just kept chatting long enough to look it up online. He tried to get back on track after, but I was losing patience, so I nicely told him to "buzz off" and ended the call.

Some bloke said he was calling from Sky, offering a free upgrade on my card - problem is, I don’t even have Sky! I played along and thanked him for the free subscription anyway. He knew my name and street but not the house number. Then started asking for my birthday, so definitely trying to scam or phish me.

This bloke called me claiming to be Dominic Richards, but he had a South Asian accent. Said he was from the BT tech team and warned my internet would be disconnected in 5 days. He gave me a phone number to ring for verification, 02032899604, which I found on this site too. Definitely a scam, don't trust it.

They claimed to be from some lifestyle research firm, I asked them to take my number off their list but this foreigner just started shouting at me.

I've been getting some really rude phone calls from a bloke purporting to be from BT, insisting there's an issue with our internet. In just a few minutes, I've received four of these calls! When I refused to comply with his demands, he turned nasty, hurling insults and asking me some downright obnoxious questions. When I tried to ask for his supervisor, he just scoffed and claimed he couldn't care less. What a cheek!
