I got a call from a politely speaking woman who claimed I was signed up with HomeServe for boiler cover and said I could get a refund since I hadn’t used the service or made any claims for a year. But that’s not true at all - I’m not with HomeServe, and we actually made a claim earlier this year. When I asked her for my policy number, she couldn't give it to me and seemed really unsure when I started talking about GDPR and that I never wanted calls like this on my phone. She got all flustered and ended the call. I’ve now blocked their number so they won't bother me again.

Some woman with a British accent called me claiming to be from the boiler protection network about my boiler insurance. She even knew my address and heating type. I told her I didn't have any particular insurance for that and asked her for my policy number. She said she didn't have it, so I ended the call. I've actually been on the telephone preference service list for ages.

Beware of this number, it’s definitely a scam. They tricked my grandparents into giving their card info, which was scary. Thankfully, I contacted the bank straight away and stopped any payments before they lost anything. It breaks my heart how some folks take advantage of older people like that. Please make sure your elderly relatives know about these scams. Usually my grandparents are quick to hang up on strangers, but this call really threw them off.

Was just reading what others said about this number. Got a call about some discount I supposedly missed last year. Told the lady I’ve never had any boiler cover, but she kept pushing and asked why. Just got a call from these lot claiming they have boiler cover for an old place we left about 16 years ago. Totally baffling! How do they even have that info? Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from a woman saying something about boiler insurance. She claimed I was with Home Care and that since I hadn’t had any repairs done in the past year, I was entitled to a £90 discount. She then gave me a quick rundown of the terms and asked for my card info to cover this year's charges. When I said I’d rather get the full terms in writing first, everything just switched up. She said she’d check on it and then hung up on me.

Received a call from someone asserting they were from the Boiler Protection Company. They mentioned we’d shelled out £240 a year but hadn't put in any claims under the policy. I informed the caller that our boiler servicing was handled by a nearby business. Meanwhile, the actual insurer was nowhere to be seen during that phone call. The date was the 3rd of June, 2019.

Got a call from this number earlier today. I told the lady to call me back another time. She said she was with something called the boiler protection network. After reading some of the other reviews here, it definitely feels like a con. I’m with whoever said there should be tougher punishments for these kinds of calls. I’ve got that phone blocking app but it’s pretty pointless. If she tries again, I’m just going to block the number for good.

A polite lady called me claiming to be from some boiler protection firm, saying they could lower my monthly payments since I hadn't made any claims last year. I asked her how she got my details and told her I wasn’t pleased she’d reached out without my permission, especially considering GDPR rules. She admitted her company wasn’t the one I’m with now, so I told her I wasn’t interested. Looking back, it feels a bit dodgy, almost like a scam.

Another annoying call from Wales, no message left and whenever I answer, there's no one on the line! It's just annoying and feels like a privacy invasion. I've blocked the number on my phone, but they just ring back with a slightly different number. It’s really frustrating. Honestly, we need a proper system to register phone numbers, with heavy fines for anyone who misuses it.
