I received a call from this number but there was absolute silence on the line. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

I'm residing in Fife, Scotland, and this number has been ringing me repeatedly. I picked up on the first occasion, but it was just dead air! The second call was from a chap with a Welsh accent, insisting he was from EON and wanting to arrange the installation of a smart meter. Strangely enough, the third call was just more silence! Despite this odd behaviour, they keep ringing me. I would strongly recommend blocking this number!

For the past three mornings at precisely 9:30, my phone has rung with this number on the other end. It appears the caller hails from North Berwick, Cardiff. If I could just pin down the source of these nuisance calls, I reckon that the telecom provider responsible for this account should have the means to track them down as well.

A woman rang me claiming to be from Eon. To be honest, I’m quite sceptical about that. She went on about Smart meters, which I’ve clearly stated I’m not interested in multiple times, yet they seem to ignore my wishes. I’ve received calls from this number previously, and I've taken the step to block it now.

I’ve just received a call from this number. Surely, if it were a proper company, they'd leave a voicemail if they couldn't get through, wouldn't they? E.on has been a complete hassle, particularly when it comes to their customer service. I'm seriously considering escalating matters to the ombudsman at this point. They've issued me a bill exceeding £12,000, which is quite absurd, given that I live alone in a modest flat, not some grand estate. After two years of their assurances that they'd rectify their mistake, I'm now getting yet another call, this time requesting payment arrangements. It's just beyond frustrating!

No matter how authentic EON may be, their persistent ringing is nothing short of harassment! A word of caution to those making these calls: you could find yourself facing personal charges for this behaviour, which might lead to a criminal record!

It seems from the comments here that Eon is attempting another tactic to persuade me into getting a smart meter fitted. No, thank you! I'm quite content with the meter I already have.

I had a slight inkling I might receive another call from South Wales, so despite my usual habit of disregarding unfamiliar numbers, I picked up this time. The caller claimed to be from E.ON, which is my energy provider, yet I couldn’t shake off the feeling of uncertainty, so I decided to end the call regardless. Turns out, that was probably the wise choice after all!

I happened to miss a call earlier, so I took a look online afterward. It turns out this number has been flagged as a scam. I've since decided to block it for good measure.

Received a bothersome call from Firstsource in Cardiff regarding the installation of a Smart Meter, which just so happens to align with Eon's relentless push for the same. I've since blocked the number. It’s obvious they're in cahoots.

I find it’s best to let it ring and then hop onto this site, where you’ll discover a multitude of others sharing their experiences about just how unpleasant these callers can be!

I keep receiving calls from these folks, but I had a bit of a run-in with E-on. They decided to switch me over to E-on Next after I pushed back on their inflated estimated direct debit. I had some issues with the bills they were sending, which, to be fair, were mostly their screw-up. Out of the blue, they dropped my direct debit from £150 a month down to a mere £6 without so much as a heads-up! This left me in a bit of a pickle with my account, as it didn’t cover the service charge. In the end, they thought it best to whack me with a whopping £300 monthly direct debit. I ended up cancelling my direct debit with them entirely!

I had a call from some chap named Zac claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse, trying to persuade me with a rather tempting 30% discount on my bill. However, I don't even have an account with them! It was just another tiresome nuisance call, and I’m thoroughly fed up with these persistent botherers.
