Someone called saying they were from Eon Next and that I’d missed payments with them and they were going to take me to court for not settling what I owe. I’ve been at this house for 10 years, using British Gas, and I’ve paid every bill properly. Eon won’t listen and even threatened me with prison. I called Eon’s head office who said they have no record of me in their system, so this caller is definitely a scam!

Most likely Eon Next, they just wont stop pestering me about getting smart meters. Ive told them loads of times about my upcoming hospital appointments and that I’ll ring them back when I’m able to set a date, but they keep on calling, texting and emailing non stop. Properly frustrating.

Got a call from this number, picked up and told them to stop calling me. I’m well fed up with eon, they’re awful - always sending texts and emails nonstop, and now ringing from a different number. Never had this bother from any other energy company. If I want a smart meter, I’ll request it, don’t need them pestering me all the time.

Honestly, smart meters are just a gimmick. Once loads of folks have one, expect bills to skyrocket because of this net zero nonsense. And if you miss a payment, they can just switch you off remotely, no warning or anything. They don’t come free either - we’re all footing the bill through those standing charges.
