I recently received a rather intrusive phone call from the number noted above, inquiring about my loft insulation. I opted not to divulge any information. The caller, who claimed to represent some sort of ‘hub’, insisted that a visit would be complimentary. However, she made a rather suspicious blunder by probing me on when my last inspection took place. Clearly, this seemed like a ruse to gain access to my home. Interestingly, I had a similar encounter a few days ago from another number. Living in the Oldham region, I find such unsolicited calls rather unsettling. The caller was rather persistent, repeating the same lines, even when I plainly stated that I don’t allow strangers into my abode as I’m alone. Despite her efforts to stress the ‘free’ nature of the visit, I finally had to tell her to pipe down before hanging up. It’s altogether evident that this is just a ploy to gain entry into someone’s home.
