02921390005 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02921390005 👆 is reported as a persistent and widespread scam involving calls about domestic appliance insurance and other alleged services. Callers falsely claim policies need renewal or offer discounts, often requesting bank details. Many report calls from various UK regions, predominantly Wales and Scotland, with some using multiple changing numbers or leaving vague voicemail messages. The callers frequently identify as "Domestic and General" or "The Green Builders" but are not affiliated with any legitimate company. The scam includes aggressive and harassing behaviour, causing distress especially among elderly recipients. Blocking numbers proves largely ineffective due to call spoofing. Victims are urged to avoid sharing personal or financial information and to report incidents to Action Fraud and police. Collective reporting and contacting MPs are advised to prompt regulatory action and curb these fraudulent operations.

The same number's ringing again, trying to trick folks by pretending to return money they lost before. They're asking for your bank info and personal details, so watch out and don’t fall for it! ⚠️

RIP-OFF ARTISTS! They’ve called me a bunch of times now, using numbers from places all over the UK - Aberdeen, Edinburgh, loads around Scotland, then Sheffield, Cardiff and other bits of Wales, plus Manchester, Tottenham and random spots in the London area. They always claim to be "The Green Builders" but don’t be fooled, they’re just scammers. They try to pitch all sorts of stuff like improved loft insulation or cheaper energy deals, but it’s all just a con.

I got a call from someone telling me my loft insulation was outdated and full of fibre that could give me cancer. They tried to convince me to give my bank details for payment. I got a bit wary and ended up refusing to use their payment link.

Someone called me about loft insulation and immediately asked for my bank details. Just so you know, this number has been reported to Ofcom. Stay careful folks!

BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS! I've had numerous encounters with these schemers who seem to ring me from all over-Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and a whole range of locations across Scotland. It doesn’t stop there; they also reach out from Sheffield, Cardiff, and various spots in Wales, as well as Manchester, Tottenham, and different areas of London. They present themselves as "The Green Builders," claiming to offer fantastic services. But don’t be fooled; they’re nothing but tricksters. Whether it’s trying to peddle loft insulation or enticing you with better energy rates, their ultimate goal is to extract your bank details. They also come up with some dodgy story about you having been in an accident to entice you into making an insurance claim through them. I've been diligent in reporting these calls to Action Fraud and the police, who acknowledge the elusive nature of these numbers. They assure me that they will eventually trace these persistent con artists. Stay vigilant!

Absolutely annoying, keeps ringing non-stop. They say it's for white goods insurance but it sounded fishy, said they were from domestic and general offering a deal on a policy I never had. When I questioned them, they just hung up. Best to just ignore such calls.

Just like everyone else has mentioned, this is nothing short of a scam. I had the misfortune of dealing with a chap named ‘Mason’ who fancied himself quite the smooth talker. I eventually told him he was rather impolite, and he had the cheek to claim I was the one being uncivil for not engaging with his questions. Problem is, there weren’t any questions to respond to! He just rambled on with misplaced confidence, going on about how I hadn’t lodged any claims, hence I was missing out on a significant discount. Meanwhile, I was anxiously expecting my fourth technician to assess an appliance, and all the while, this insufferable young man insisted I had no grasp of what I was discussing or tracking in my own bank statements. Absolutely infuriating and completely unnecessary stress!

About 16 comments down from this one, there are some good tips on dealing with those calls. The scam call I got didn’t have any links at all, but I guess the police database might still be after that info. I’ll sort it out! Also thinking of raising this with my MP - these scams clearly aren’t coming from around here in the UK.

I've received several calls from this number and when I attempt to ring them back, it doesn’t seem to halt the incessant calls. It looks like it could be some kind of insurance scam for appliances in South Wales... Didn't they have a TV show about dodgy call centres not so long ago?

WARNING: THIS IS A SCAM TO STEAL YOUR MONEY! Make sure you report any scam attempts straight to the police fraud website. Search for ‘action fraud’ on Google and visit the ‘police.uk’ portal. Find the page for ‘reporting phishing attempts’ and carefully read all the info before submitting your report. Provide any links or web addresses involved if you have them. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money to the scam. The only way the authorities can track these scams properly is if we all report every suspicious call or message.

I’ve been getting calls about some home appliance insurance I never asked for or wanted. For weeks now I’ve told them to quit ringing me and to remove my details from their system. This morning they called once more, and I told them straight up if they bother me one more time I’ll have to report them.

Phone just stopped ringing, no voicemail or anything left behind.

Got a call about home appliances, but it felt like a total waste of time, probably a scam.

Definitely a dodgy sales call, total scam.

I keep getting calls from those domestic appliance insurance con artists nearly every day. I try to drag out the calls to waste their time as much as possible. After a while, they catch on and hang up, only to ring again the following day so I can do the same all over again. So annoying!

For around six years now, this Domestic Insurance firm has been calling me roughly twice a week trying to push an extended warranty. I’ve never agreed to these calls, and even when I’ve asked them to stop and revoked any supposed consent, they just hang up and ring back the very next day. Honestly, it feels like harassment. They should be taken to task legally, and anyone passing our info on to these people - or scammers like them - deserves to be shunned. Watch out for the number: 02921 390005 - it’s definitely a scam.

This number keeps calling me day after day! It's absolutely relentless! I've had enough of this harassment! Apparently, they're connected to some home insurance nonsense. Something needs to be sorted out regarding this.

Received a call regarding insurance for household appliances. Spent close to ten minutes on the line before realising it was nothing more than a scam. They claimed to offer a discount but insisted on establishing a new direct debit, clearly wanting my banking information, instead of simply modifying my current payment method. When I pointed this out, it was just a game of ping-pong as they tried to transfer me to someone “higher up.” Just to clarify, I have no such insurance in place!

About eight years back, I purchased an appliance, and for the past six years, this Domestic Insurance firm has been incessantly pestering me with calls-roughly twice a week-trying to flog an extended warranty. I’ve never consented to their contacting me, yet I've made repeated attempts to withdraw any supposed consent they presume they possess. Whenever I politely ask them to cease their calls, they simply hang up, only to ring me again the next day. It’s downright harassment, no question about it. They show absolutely no regard for the fact that I no longer have the appliance, nor do they heed my numerous requests over the years to remove my details from their erroneous database. They ought to face legal action, and any business that dares to share our information with such a dodgy outfit deserves to be boycotted.

I recently had a rather curious conversation on my landline with a lady named Mary. She couldn’t quite recall whether her agency was called UK Services Plan or Domestic Appliance Insurance. Regardless, she claimed that it was time for me to renew my policy. I promptly informed her that such a thing was preposterous since all of our devices are ancient-over 15 years, in fact! To emphasise my point, I let her hear my trusty 22-year-old Miele washing machine chugging away. I couldn’t imagine any insurer being foolish enough to cover us! Mary promised to remove my number from their calling list, but as this was about the fifth or sixth time I’ve been contacted, I’m rather sceptical about that. Who knows, she might still be on the line, taking notes on my vintage washing machine!

What a nuisance! I've been plagued by calls from this number for over a year now. I had a brief conversation with them at the outset, and they were trying to chat about renewing my appliance insurance. I was a bit perplexed, as I already have my cover sorted with another company that I've been with for years. The name they used sounded quite familiar, so I said I'd investigate their offer-little did I know it was a complete ruse. They promised to get back in touch, but nowadays I just let the phone ring without answering. After digging a bit, I discovered they’re linked to a marketing firm, although I remain sceptical. I eventually blocked the number, but guess what? They keep ringing me anyway! Who on earth are these people?

It’s always the same lady who keeps ringing me! I've noticed that if you manage to block her number, she just pops up using a different one. In the past ten days alone, she’s called me thrice, and this nonsense has been going on for more than a year now. Quite tiresome, really!

I'm receiving yet another call from them claiming my electrical appliance insurance is with them. Honestly, I'd be thrilled if these fraudsters just vanished! I'm getting hassled with scam calls day after day.

I just received three calls when I was out and about. Appreciate the alert! I’ve got a rather relaxed day ahead, so I might as well have a bit of a laugh while providing a service to the community by keeping these scammers occupied - saving someone else from their clutches. Cheers once more! P.S. My personal best for keeping a daft caller on the line was two hours long. It certainly takes my mind off Coronation Street and Emmerdale, both of which my missus adores while I find utterly tedious. I suppose I’m a bit of an oddball, but it can certainly be amusing! 😂

They're claiming to be from some household appliance company and insisting we update our insurance policy with them... Absolutely not! There's absolutely no chance we'll share our sort code with these numpties! It’s infuriating dealing with such brazen scammers. What a load of rubbish! 😤

I received a call from an Asian woman who claimed they required my information to make some updates. She mentioned something about domestic insurance. When I inquired whether it was Domestic and General insurance, she confirmed it was. However, I’m well aware this is a con, as I took out a policy back in January at my new address, which she clearly wasn’t aware of.

At least she took the time to leave a voicemail; I've since added her to my blocked list.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with Domestic Appliance insurance. The thing is, we don’t actually hold any policy with them, yet she was adamant that we did. Our number isn't listed publicly and we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet these irritating calls keep coming through. Isn’t there a rule for legitimate UK companies to verify this kind of information before making such calls? Quite baffling, really!

Total rip-off. I played along by telling them they called at the perfect moment since everything in my house suddenly stopped working. I said they’d have to send new stuff right away because my insurance was nearly up, and I needed it sorted. They quickly lost enthusiasm but kept pushing to get me to renew. I kept them hanging for a good while before dropping some swear words. Absolute rubbish people, and not the brightest bunch either!

Got a call about insuring my house appliances. Weird thing is, the message said "Sorry missed you" while I was still talking! Then it promised to call back later. These calls happen to me a lot. Feels like some kind of auto-dialler software is behind it. Honestly, im fed up with these disturbing my personal time.

A crazy lady rang me about some domestic appliance insurance she claimed I had with them, which is a complete lie because I don’t have any cover at all. She tried to say, “Well, why did you call them then?” I told her I just answered her call! When you ring that number, it goes through a few rings then says it’s no longer in service. I’ve blocked the number now, but I’m sure they’ll just switch to a different one. Honestly, I wish they’d find better things to do and stop bothering people every day with their annoying calls!

This number keeps ringing me, claiming I have some kind of cover for household appliances with them. When I asked which ones, they mentioned stuff like the washing machine and the fridge freezer, but that’s totally not the case. Told them to take my info off their list. Guess we’ll find out if they actually bother!

Got a voicemail from a number I didn’t recognize. The message was super vague, something like "I'll try calling back tomorrow." Honestly, they can ring back all they want, but I’m not picking up. My answerphone says loud and clear that I won’t be returning calls from numbers I don’t know. If it was important, they’d have left a proper message with details.

So I got a call from a woman, maybe in her 40s or so, talking about some household gadgets. She said she’d ring me back the next day. Honestly, it’s a bit upsetting because she had such a pleasant voice and I can imagine she’d trick quite a few folks. Proper lowlife behaviour.

Loads of different phone numbers have been buzzing me, all with the same spiel about home appliances. Luckily, I’ve got caller ID, so I just let them go to voicemail. They always leave a message saying they’ll ring back the next day. The good thing is, I block each of these numbers, so they can’t bother me again from the same line. But they just keep switching numbers to try and get through. Such a pain!

I've received a string of calls that are all remarkably identical, with the latest one coming in just tonight. The person on the other end is a rather articulate woman, and she always delivers the precise same spiel: "I'll ring you back tomorrow." It's baffling how she never actually follows through, which leads me to believe it must be some sort of scam.
