Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Dennis Grey, an officer at HM Revenue and Customs. The message kept insisting I ring back on 02921280820, saying that ignoring it would lead to legal trouble unless my solicitor contacts them first. Problem is, nobody answers when you call that number. Then, I got another creepy call from a guy with an Indian/Pakistani accent who said he was Alex Parker, also from HMRC. He tried to scare me with some fake tax investigation dating back to 2017. Proper dodgy stuff.

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMRC, said I needed to ring back or I’d face legal trouble. It was a recorded message that left a note if you didn’t pick up. Definitely don’t return the call or share any details. Best to just block the number.
