A group of individuals persistently contacted my daughter, who happens to have learning difficulties. It is important to note that she does not owe anyone a single thing. To address this issue, we have taken the initiative to contact them and kindly asked them to delete her contact information from their database. Now we can only wait patiently and see if they comply with our request.

Received a call just as we were about to reach out to a family member named Ian, sharing our surname. The call ended abruptly before we had the chance to inquire who was on the other end and what their intentions were. Quite puzzling!

The company in question goes by the name Link, and they're engaged in the rather questionable practice of debt collection. They've been reaching out to individuals whose debts they have acquired. What’s rather sneaky is how they try to get in touch with these debtors through their neighbours, fabricating stories about parcels or telegrams to catch their attention. They typically uncover addresses through the electoral roll, which reveals the debtor's latest registration or any historical address information given to creditors at the time the credit was obtained.

We received a call at home from individuals claiming to be affiliated with the Post Office. They stated that they wished to forward some correspondence, which had been returned from our university. Oddly enough, they seemed quite familiar with our address. However, I did find it rather strange that they made no mention of any outstanding debts at all. They ultimately left a message with our university, directing us to contact Clare at either 02920 853500 or 02920 808696. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

They wouldn’t tell us who they were unless we provided our name and postcode. We firmly told them to get lost and ended the call.

I've found this company to be quite dubious, and I reckon some sort of action needs to be taken. Does anyone happen to know which organisation I should contact to report this? I've been getting calls about someone else who lives in my village, and it’s becoming rather tiresome!

Earlier today, at precisely 09:09, we received a call from a woman using the number 02920 853500. She claimed to have a letter intended for a Mr Mark Heron and requested his address. Her inquiry struck us as rather dubious, so we declined to engage in any conversation with her.

We’ve just had a rather peculiar experience ourselves. A letter meant for another person who shares our surname landed in our hands. Initially, we didn’t think much of it and assumed it was just a quirky coincidence. After all, it’s quite strange! So, out of courtesy, we pointed out to them that the person they were inquiring about happens to be a solicitor. However, I highly suspect they won’t be reaching out to us anytime soon.

A gentleman by the name of Mike reached out to us, claiming he needed to relay a message to a family member about a package that had arrived, seeking permission to send it out. However, this was nothing but a fib; it turns out these individuals represent a company that purchases debts and hire folks to call and try to track down the debtor. Quite the ruse, if you ask me!

A lady called to inquire if we were familiar with a chap named Paul, sharing the same last name as mine. She mentioned he’d lost contact and was eager to get back in touch. Pleased to report we couldn’t assist her-suspicious behaviour, if you ask me!

We've been getting persistent calls regarding a debt supposedly incurred under our name, which is quite concerning. We’ve requested several times for them to provide us with a copy of the signed agreement, as we’ve never received any card from the company they’re referencing. However, they keep denying our request, claiming it's a breach of the data protection laws. What are our options in this situation, and what rights do we have?

I received a call today from this particular number, wherein the caller expressed an interest in acquiring my new address for the purpose of forwarding mail. Inquisitive, I probed for details regarding the nature of the mail, but the caller chose not to disclose any information, prompting me to abruptly end the conversation. Now I am left wondering, who exactly are these individuals?

It seems this number belongs to Link Financial Outsourcing Ltd, a debt recovery firm situated at Unit 1-5, Trecenydd Business Park, Caerphilly, CF83 2RZ, UK. They have a somewhat dubious reputation for masquerading as a parcel delivery service in an effort to track down individuals. If you happen to receive a call from them inquiring about one of your neighbours, the former occupants of your property, or even a relative, it’s a strong indicator that the individual they’re hunting for is reportedly in arrears, at least according to Link’s records. I would highly recommend reaching out to the individual in question and offering to provide a statement to the data protection commissioner’s office, as it seems Link may have engaged in what could be considered an improper disclosure of sensitive information. Moreover, such a revelation regarding someone's financial woes might also contravene the guidelines set forth by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We reside in a flat complex, and recently, a chap appeared at our door asking us to pass on a message to someone along the corridor. He mentioned that she was from Caerphilly and needed help with forwarding some mail. Strangely, he requested that we refrain from knocking on the door while using the phone. It's left us feeling a bit wary, to be honest.

Today, I received a phone call from an individual named Adam, who wanted to talk to my son who recently relocated. I informed Adam that my son was not present, to which he responded by promising to send him some information at our address, which he had. Furthermore, I was surprised as our number is not listed in the directory, yet Adam managed to obtain it.

It’s quite shocking to find that someone called our 92-year-old grandfather, asking him to get in touch with a person named Gill from next door. It feels rather sleazy behaviour, and we have a strong suspicion that this breaches the data protection laws!

On the 1st of August 2014, a company called and asked about the previous owner of the property. They were quite mysterious and a bit cagey about revealing their identity or reason for inquiring about the ex-owner. To add to the mystery, my phone number is ex-directory and on the BT Preference list, so I am unsure about how they obtained my number. I advised them to contact the Land Registry to verify the change in ownership.

We received a call from this number, but the moment we answered, they hung up on us. It’s not the first time we’ve had calls like this; in fact, we’ve had several before trying to get in touch with our next-door neighbour to see if they’re still residing there. Not quite certain what this particular call is about, but it does make me curious. I do wonder if it’s from the same street! Quite amusing, really!

I haven't answered any calls from them yet, but I'm wondering if they're trying to reach us or perhaps someone nearby? Do they genuinely get in touch with the actual debtor, or are they just ringing folks who might know them? It's a puzzle we'll likely never unravel now, as we've simply added their number to our block list on the mobile!

I just received a call from someone asking for a Mr D Sampson. The number was 08000859814. When I tried to call back, they simply informed me that they were “having some technical issues.” The name D Sampson doesn’t ring any bells for me, and the message concluded with “I am requested to give you a call,” without clarifying what it was in reference to. Quite strange, isn’t it?

I received numerous phone calls from a particular number today. The first call was from a man named Mike, who insisted on knowing my address in order to forward mail to me. Despite my refusal to provide the information, he continued to press for it. I ended the call by hanging up. Shortly after, I received another phone call asking for me, but I chose not to answer and hung up immediately without saying anything. I also received a call on my mobile phone, which I opted not to answer. To my dismay, my son also received a phone call from the same party, claiming they had some mail for me and wanted to redirect it by obtaining my address from him. He ended up giving them my address, which greatly concerns me. This repeated contact feels like harassment and it has deeply upset me. I don't understand how these individuals have access to so much personal information about me.

On the 7th of August 2013, I received multiple calls from an unknown number around five times each day. Despite the consistent calls, I chose not to answer any of them due to the absence of any message left behind. These calls were strictly limited to office hours.

I received a call from someone asking to speak to my daughter on my phone. I have always used this phone as my own, so I am unsure how they obtained this number. I received a call from a man inquiring about my cousin, whom I haven't seen in over 4 years. I was perplexed as to how he acquired my mobile number. He insisted on knowing my cousin's name and address, claiming that he had inherited some money. Naturally, I took appropriate action and avoided sharing any personal information. Out of curiosity, I decided to investigate the number online and discovered that it belonged to a company called Link Financial. It seems they have a reputation for being bothersome. Thankfully, the only positive outcome from this unwelcome situation was that I managed to reconnect with my relative.

Today, I received a call from a gentleman at Link, who I missed yesterday. He was inquiring about someone whom I haven't had contact with for about 2 years. Despite this, he continued to ask for a telephone number and address for that individual.

After the call, it dawned on me that there was no possible connection between my mobile number and the person he was searching for, as I had already changed my mobile number.

Checking the number immediately after the call proved to be quite beneficial.

I encountered a similar issue with them. A letter was sent to me, informing me about an attempt to obtain credit using my identity. This company is truly bothersome and action must be taken against them. They behave like bullies and it's unacceptable!

The company is called Link, and they specialize in debt collection. Their goal is to reach out to individuals whose debts they have acquired. However, their approach is somewhat deceptive. They often contact the neighbours of the debtors as a way to get in touch with them. Under the pretense of delivering a package or a telegram, they make contact with the debtors. They typically obtain addresses by referring to electoral roll registers, which provide the most recent registration information of the debtors, as well as the creditor-provided current and previous address details when the credit was obtained.

I received a call from a man named Mike who claimed to have a package for one of my family members. He insisted that he needed permission from me in order to send out the parcel. However, I quickly realized that this was all a fabricated story. In reality, Mike was a representative from a debt purchasing company who employed individuals to call and track down debtors.
