Just got a few calls on my home phone from 02920 468529. There was a recorded voice claiming to be from my bank, but they never actually said which one. It mentioned charges of £199 to Amazon and £899 to Zoom - which I’ve never even used. Then it told me to press 1 to approve the payment or 2 to contact security at the bank. Got a call from 02920473447 today claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. At first, I was glad to hear from BT, but then a woman passed me to someone who said he was a manager. He spoke to me in a really condescending way, which instantly raised my suspicions. I did have some trouble connecting my TV to the Wi-Fi, but it seemed odd that BT would want me to open my laptop and use Teamviewer. When I said I wasn’t comfortable with that, I was shocked to hear them basically say ‘f*** you’. Total scam in my opinion.
