I reside in Serbia, and I haven't the foggiest notion about who's behind this number calling me. I felt quite reluctant to pick up, as I was worried there might be some sort of charge incurred by answering the call.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to represent a debt collection agency, supposedly linked to the citizens advice bureau. They inquired whether I had any outstanding debts. Honestly, it struck me as odd, since I know for a fact that the citizens advice doesn't engage in such practices. Plus, I can't imagine they'd have the bandwidth to manage that kind of follow-up anyway!

Never picked up, but got a call from some place I’ve never even heard of around 6pm. Probably just another annoying spam call.

I called the number back but got a message saying the number was disconnected because it might’ve broken their terms of service. Seems to me like a scam, especially since I’ve had a bunch of calls recently from folks in India using numbers from Manchester, Leicester, London, and Belfast. Feels dodgy to me.

somebody called me claiming they were from citizens advice. i couldn’t really understand what she was trying to say but i did ask why a number from abroad was ringing me. she wouldn’t answer so i told them to never phone me again.
