Received a call from someone claiming they could assist with debt relief. When I inquired about specific debts I supposedly had, they stumbled over their words and couldn’t provide a clear answer. The moment I mentioned reporting their number, they hastily ended the call, clearly nervous after I'd given them enough time for tracking purposes.

I've been bombarded with over twenty calls in the past three weeks from various places like Bolton, Manchester, Burnley, Birmingham, and Maidstone. Each one claims they can assist with my debts and offer to tackle repairs on my council house. They even stated that they received my details from Lewis council! The amusing part? They haven't a clue where Lewis council is, and here I am, residing in the north of England!

Got a call from someone pretending to be from a debt collection agency. When I asked where they were ringing from, they said Manchester. I pointed out the number was actually from Belfast and kept pressing for answers. They made up some nonsense, so I kept pushing and eventually called them out as a scammer. I told them I knew they were really in India and challenged them to prove otherwise. No surprise, they just hung up. I enjoy having a bit of fun with these types, but honestly, best thing to do is just block the number.

Gave me a bell claiming to be from a debt collection agency, and their thick Irish brogue was quite something! When I probed a bit about which debt they were referring to, they fumbled with their response. I decided to end the call then and there.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be from some sort of investigative unit. He inquired about whether I had any debts and had quite a strong Indian accent. There was also a bit of a commotion in the background, which was rather distracting. I firmly told him it was none of his concern and promptly ended the call.

Got a call saying they were from the Citizens Advice Bureau, but I’m not sure if it was legit. Seems a bit dodgy to me. Anyone else had this?

Got a call from someone claiming to be Citizens Advice, telling me they had details about my supposed debts. I got suspicious and asked more questions, then the bloke just cut me off. The guy spoke with a really thick Indian accent, and I could hear another voice behind him saying something like "customer". They were offering free shares or something dodgy like that. Feels like they’re running a few scams out of the same setup.

Some bloke rang me up saying he got my digits from LinkedIn. He said his firm helps expats sort out any UK pension they might be entitled to from when they worked here.

I received a call claiming to be from Citizens Advice, insisting they had details regarding some debts of mine. When I probed a bit further, the line went dead. The caller had a thick Indian accent, and I could distinctly hear chatter in the background where someone was saying something about “complimentary shares” to another “client.” It really seems like they're running a variety of dubious schemes from the same location.
