I got a call from someone with an asian accent who said they worked for ~ and claimed my computer had been hacked. They warned me they’d have to shut down my laptop if I didn’t follow their instructions because apparently hackers were using my IP for dodgy stuff without me knowing. Feeling suspicious, I asked to speak to a manager and got passed onto another asian guy. He got really pushy, telling me I had no choice but to do what they said or they’d just switch my computer off. It felt like a total scam to me.

@ got a call from someone saying they were from the Windows tech department, obviously a scam. When I asked for their contact number, the guy just hung up on me.
