My phone showed this as an INTERNATIONAL call, but the number looked like it was from Armagh, UK. Clearly, these scammers are faking UK numbers to hide where they’re really calling from. Definitely sounded like it was coming from abroad with that lag on the line, a man with an Asian accent phoning me twice today. He said he was from the Telephone Preference Management Service. I’ve been getting quite a few calls over the last week, but from another UK-based number. I told them straight up that it’s a scam and ended the call. They also asked for my mum, who passed away nearly four years ago, so clearly their info is way out of date. There’s loads of advice online, like from Saga, warning about these types of scams.
