Today, I received a rather dodgy phone call on my landline from a bloke trying to sell me an extended warranty for my boiler. He even suggested swapping it out for a newer model. Naturally, I did a bit of sleuthing on the company he purported to be working for and found a slew of unsettling reviews about scams and fraudulent practices linked to them. Quite the alarm bell for me, if you ask me!
