Got a call from someone pretending to be from TalkTalk, but it was clearly a con. They wanted me to open the command prompt on my PC so they could switch on remote desktop - a Windows thing. If you do that, they can basically get full control and poke around your files. These calls are pretty easy to spot once you know what to look out for. If you’re unsure, just ask for the official TalkTalk contact number. If they hesitate or start fumbling for it, just end the call straight away.

For about two weeks now, I keep getting calls nearly every day and each time, theres just silence for a bit before they hang up.

this person said they were from talktalk saying my computer was full of problems and errors, but it was all rubbish! I recently got a call blocker and it was so satisfying to just block him straight away!

I got the same call and it was definitely a scam, plus I don't even use TalkTalk. My neighbour also mentioned they're getting calls like this too.

Got a call earlier but no idea who it was. They rang from Northern Ireland, just hung up straight away without saying anything or leaving a voicemail. Bit of a waste of time really.
