I found myself on the receiving end of a rather persuasive offer from a chap with an Indian accent, claiming to represent EE. Instinctively, I sensed something was amiss and quickly twigged that it was likely a scam.

Thank goodness my phone automatically silences unknown numbers now, I just don’t pick up or bother returning calls from any scammers these days.

Got a call with silence on the other end, no clue who it was. Figured it was probably nothing good, so I just blocked the number.

Got a call from this number and there were quite a few voices in the background, so I figured it was coming from some sort of call centre. A few of them were talking really bad English, made no sense, so I just ended the call and blocked them.

So this bloke calling from what used to be called the "Jewel of the Empire," clearly having a hard time with his English. I thought I'd give him a proper British welcome: "Bugger Off!"
