Such a hassle! We chose not to pick up and they just ended the call. Got a call last week from someone unknown saying they were with Eon and wanted to arrange a visit. Just sat there listening to all the nonsense. They really ought to be tracked down and slapped with a big fine for being a right nuisance to everyone. Tiring stuff.

As soon as they started talking, I could tell it was a total scam. I’ve never used any Indian call centres or any local ones with such rubbish accents. Luckily, I have Panasonic phones which let me block the number straight from the handset, so I didn’t have to worry about seeing that number pop up again.

Got a call from an Indian lady claiming my internet was hacked and would be off for two days starting tonight. Sounded like total nonsense to me! Before she ended the call, she just said “You’ll see tonight” and then hung up. Strange bit of business, really.

Got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent, claiming to be from BT Internet about some kind of "security issue" on my connection. It was clearly a dodgy scam. I told her to stop calling me about three times, but she kept coming back. At one point she said, "How do you know I'm not from BT or that there's no security problem?" I told her I'd report her number to the police. Her answer? "Do whatever you want." Honestly, these scammers deserve to be tracked down and put behind bars for good.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he worked for SSE, British Gas, and Eon all at once. He said there was a problem with our electric and gas meter readings and told me to grab a bill so he could verify we weren’t overpaying. I got a bit confused and asked if he was really calling from all those companies, plus I told him we don’t even have a gas meter. He got a bit rattled and just hung up after that.

Today, I got loads of calls from someone named Jack Patel who kept asking for my Eon account and meter numbers, saying there was a problem. It all felt pretty fishy, especially when I pressed him for more info, then suddenly he claimed the problem had been fixed! Definitely didn’t trust it.

When I asked why they wouldn’t just check with their billing department to get the details since she said she was from Extra Energy, she couldn’t give a proper explanation. She ended up saying she’d give me a ring back the next day. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman with a super thick Indian accent, saying she was from the energy company. She reckoned our meter readings were incorrect and that our address didn't match their database. I knew straight away it was dodgy, so I asked where exactly she was calling from. She just kept saying, "Your energy supplier." I ended the call. No more than 10 seconds later, she rang back with the exact same spiel. Hung up again. And yep, another call 10 seconds after that. I won’t share what I said, but trust me, if she followed through, she’d be in for a world of pain.
