Got a call from someone claiming to be from benefits in lifestyle, asking for me. I told him it wasn’t me, then he asked if it might be someone in my family. He said he wasn’t trying to sell anything. When he checked if the number was right, I said it must be since he called it. Then he asked me to confirm my address, but once I said it was incorrect, he just hung up. Just one of those annoying calls. Honestly, why doesn’t BT do something to block these?

pretty much the same thing happened to me too. but what i do is after they hang up, i keep the call going for like 5 minutes before i actually end it. figured since they can’t call anyone else while i’m on the line, it might get on their nerves a bit.

Got a number that keeps ringing but never leaves a voicemail. I usually let unknown calls go to answerphone, if it's something real they’d surely say something, right? Seems dodgy to me, probably some sort of scam.

Back on 19th October 2017, I got a call from a bloke who asked straight for me by name. He claimed he was calling from some benefits department in Lifestyle, Wolverhampton or somewhere like that. Wanted to have a quick 60-second chat. I told him no thanks. The number he rang from was 02590018828.

This number kept ringing me but it never showed up as known so I just ignored it. Later I decided to call it back and the operator told me “the number you’re trying to reach can’t be found.” Pretty sure it’s a fake number and a scam call!

This kind of caller seriously couldn’t care less about the TPS and never bothers to see if they’re on it. They often have these foreign accents that just make no sense and are impossible to understand.

Just like others have said, I got a call from a man earlier today who asked if he was speaking to Mr. x00rx. I told him we don’t accept cold calls or ones from blocked numbers, and then he just hung up on me.

When I picked up the phone, the person immediately asked if I was Mr something. I replied by asking who was on the line, but he just repeated the same question about being Mr. I then told him to tell me his name and where he was calling from. Without saying a word more, he just said goodbye and ended the call.

Got another call from someone with an Indian accent. They claimed it wasn’t a sales call and promised it’d just take a minute, then wouldn’t bother me again. The first time they called, I didn’t give any info, and when they rang back the second time, they quit right away once I mentioned the earlier call. They must have some of my info somewhere, but I never got close enough to figure out how much or what the trick actually was.
