8 yearsI've had this number ring me more than 20 times just this week. Every time, they want my birth date, but when I ask who they are, one time they said they were from the DVLA, another time they claimed to be my insurance company - but couldn't even say which insurer! Eventually, I told them I'd recorded the conversation and was going to report them for harassment and fraud. Strange thing is, I haven't received a single call since then!DVLA8 yearsBack on 6th September 2018, I got a call from a woman on my mobile about a car accident I’d been in earlier that year. It was pretty loud where I was standing, so I couldn’t really catch what she was saying. I told her to send her number by text and that I’d call her back. Never got a message from her though. I’ve since informed my insurance firm about the call.8 yearsI've been receiving incessant calls from this number, but I've chosen not to pick up. Strangely, they never bother to leave a message. Quite perplexing, really.8 yearsGot a call about motor assistance, felt like a total rip-off attempt.8 yearsGot a call from this number and they already had loads of my info. They’re sending a courier over tomorrow evening with some documents, claiming I’m due £1500 compensation for injuries - which I definitely don’t have. I’m just going to let the guy come and drop it off so I can have a proper look once he leaves. I’m quite good at turning the tables when people try to waste my time. Will keep you all posted if it turns out to be a scam.8 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from the Vehicle Recovery Centre, said I was the no-fault party in an accident and could get between £1000-£4000 that the at-fault driver was trying to claim. They asked me to confirm with the next operator that both me and my daughter had shoulder and neck pain. I went along with it and now have a courier coming tomorrow to deliver papers for me to sign. They mentioned companies called UK Legal Assist and Fairwoods Solicitors, which actually have websites. Planning to call them later to cancel everything.Vehicle RecoveryCentreUK Legal AssistFairwoods Solicitors8 yearsThese guys are total scammers, kept asking me daft questions. Watch out, they’re nothing but con artists and proper nuisances!8 yearsMy phone rang from someone saying her name was Danielle. She seemed to know everything about a recent accident I’d been in and wanted me to verify some stuff. She claimed the other side was trying to sue me for personal injury (which was totally made up) and said they needed to ‘settle the case’. When I asked who she actually worked for or any proper details, she wouldn’t say and just hung up on me. Definitely a scam. Watch out for these types!Danielle8 yearsGot a call from someone called Sarah about motor assist. They had loads of my personal info plus details about my car and some claim. They claimed it was part of the claim process, but that was just a complete lie. It was pretty creepy how much they knew about me. When I checked with my insurer, they said the claim was already fully sorted and warned me that this was a scam call. Watch out for these dodgy callers!Sarah - Vehicle Assistance8 yearsGot a call saying there’d been a car crash and they wanted to settle up, but when I mentioned my solicitors were handling it, they just dropped the line.8 yearsSome firm called Motor Assist said stuff about my accident that totally wasn't right. I told em I'd rather deal with my insurance, and they told me off for being rude before just hanging up on me. Definitely sounds like a scam to me - guess they can't handle the truth.8 yearsSome dodgy lot saying they're from the DVLA and threatening to cancel my insurance - total scammers!DVLA8 yearsHonestly, they just seem like those pesky ambulance chasers to me.8 yearsAs soon as I told him to check with my car insurance provider, he just ended the call.8 yearsThose guys are total ambulance chasers, always calling out of nowhere.8 yearsI got a call from them and they somehow already had all my info. They said they were from the DVLA, and I nearly fell for it. But then the guy asked me to explain how my accident happened in my own words. I was like, why do you even need to know that? Next thing, he just hung up on me.DVLA8 yearsAbsolutely a scam! This caller had information related to an actual car accident I was involved in and pretended to be someone else. When I couldn't provide the info they demanded, they resorted to swearing and abruptly hung up on me. I'm usually quite alert to these sorts of things, but they had so much detail about the incident that I was duped into thinking they were representing my insurance company. With the new GDPR laws in place, they really shouldn't have access to that sort of information. I later discovered they're just a dodgy personal injury claims outfit making unsolicited calls. Avoid at all costs! The agent's name was Simon, but he ought to be branded "Mr. Profanity"!SimonProfanity8 yearsGot a call about a car accident - they knew all the details and claimed they were trying to wrap up the case. They even had a police report number. They tricked me into believing they were sorting out the insurance claim to fix my car and were in touch with my insurer - but that wasn’t true at all! When I told them to actually do their job right, the guy named SIMON said, "You’re being really rude, mate," and then just hung up on me. Weirdly, my insurance company had no clue about any of this! Watch out!!!8 yearsRefused to tell me their name and got really aggressive when I didn’t share info about a car crash. Then they just ended the call when I asked who they were.8 yearsGot a call from some company saying they handle car accident claims. Pretty sure it was just one of those firms trying to get me to sign up for something I don’t need. Was a bit annoying, to be honest.Submit Your Own Report (024 7799 0082)
