Initially, there was a bit of silence, which made me suspect it was one of those automated calls. Then, a man, speaking rather assertively and using my name, started claiming I’d been in some sort of accident-nonsense, if you ask me. I told him straight away that I wasn’t interested and that this call was unwelcome. He had the audacity to ask why, but before he could say any more, I decided it was best to just hang up. It was quite distressing and rather embarrassing, to be honest.8 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be from a vehicle assessment centre, attempting to persuade me to file a compensation claim. He mentioned that a third-party insurance company has supposedly released funds for post-accident stress I experienced a few months ago.
