Im with LV as well. I jotted down the name “Williams vehicles assessment insurer”. They said they were independent lawyers. They somehow knew all about a dodgy car accident claim against me and said they’d give me £1600 if I pretended I had neck and shoulder pain for 6 weeks.

They kept ringing me over and over until I picked up. The person mentioned some accident but was really unclear about what happened. When I told them I wasn’t the driver and that it involved an airport parking driver instead, they just ended the call. It’s pretty annoying that they already have my info. Like others have said, I’m with LV as well. Seems like someone there is sharing our personal info. Supposedly, with the new GDPR rules, you can ask LV to find out who has your data, but honestly, that sounds easier said than done.

Someone rang claiming to be from some kind of vehicle inspection group. They had the date of my crash and even my car's registration, but they didn’t seem to know what actually went down during the accident. They kept saying the other driver claimed they got hurt, which isn't true at all. I told them my car hasn’t moved and is still parked on my driveway - then they just cut the call. I’m insured with LV too. How on earth are they getting hold of this info?

Some bloke called me saying he was from a Vehicle Assessment Centre and was checking up on my car after a crash (which wasn’t true at all). He claimed the other driver, who was clearly to blame, was trying to make a claim against me via insurance. When I mentioned something about “fault admitted on a without prejudice basis,” he just cut me off and dropped the line. Definitely dodgy.

They kept insisting I had agreed to pay £1,500, which was completely untrue and felt like they were trying to trap me with lies.

Today just after 1pm, I got a call asking if anyone was injured in some sort of accident. I reckon it might have been info from LV or something. As soon as I said there was no one in the car, the caller just ended the call.

These ambulance chasers have tried this gimmick before. They claimed they had some documents for a claim and wanted to drop them off personally for me to sign. I just told them to post it if it’s real, otherwise don’t waste my time, then ended the call.

Got a call from someone talking about a crash I was part of. Since LV took care of everything, it’s like my info got passed on by them or something. When I mentioned I’d already contacted LV, they just cut the call. Sounds like a scam trying to get me to sign up for some claim insurance.

I got a call from someone who seemed to know a few vague things about a small accident I had been part of. I couldn't figure out why they were so interested. I had to hang up on them, and they mentioned they'd ring me again. But by the time the day finished, no follow-up call came through.

They claimed to be handling a claim about my car being declared a total loss, supposedly representing the other motorist, Gillian Brown. However, I remember all my interactions were with Dominic Brown? They then admitted to having messed things up and asked if I was alright with settling the case, which I agreed to?? Not sure who these people really are or what details I might have shared with them?

Got a ring about a crash I had back in Jan, and the bloke seemed to know every little detail. Was trying to offer me £1500 for some insurance payout. Then I told him I was at fault cause I bumped into the other driver, and guess what? He just dropped the call. Well, wasn’t that unexpected!

I challenged him and he just hung up on me, really rude.

Beware of those so-called legal advisors who just want to make a quick buck off you - total ambulance chasers trying to scam people with dodgy advice.
