this guy with an asian accent called claiming he was from microsoft's tech support, said my pc had issues with some security software download. he asked me to look something up on my computer while we were talking. i just told him to buzz off. watch out, this is a total scam.

I've probably just been caught out by some new trick where they fake the dial tone like they've hung up. When you answer right away to block them, like I did, it turns out you’re actually on a live call and they mark your number as active. This has happened a few times this week, which is weird because I never saw it before. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of scam calls. Is this some new wave going around, or am I just unlucky?

As soon as I answered with a quick hello, the caller just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number earlier, and some guy with an Asian accent was talking about my computer. I told him straight up he was trying to scam me, and he just started laughing before hanging up on me.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from tech support, said there was an issue with my computer. When I said I didn’t have any problems, he just called me a liar! Got fed up and told him straight I wasn’t having any trouble.

this guy called me saying he was from tech support, said there was some issue with my windows. he started shouting out loads of complicated codes or something, so i just said thanks and hung up. but then he called again right away, asking why i just ended the call. i told him straight up he was a scammer and hung up again. thankfully, he hasn’t called me since then.
