This number has been incessantly ringing me, only to hang up without uttering a word. It’s become quite the nuisance!

I keep getting calls from some lot in Coventry - seems they've changed their number yet again. I've blocked all the others before, but if I don’t put a stop to it, my phone ends up ringing loads of times each week. Probably some immigrants living off benefits, packed into cramped terraced houses with relatives coming over from abroad. There's usually a flashy BMW or Merc parked nearby, and I reckon they’ve got some dodgy side dealings with drugs and knives for the local lads. That’s probably how they operate. Not being bitter or anything, just calling it as I see it.

When I picked up the phone, there was just silence and then the call dropped right away! It’s clearly a scam. I got another call from a different number saying they were from Virgin Media, telling me about some upgrade to my TiVo box because of an internal update. They said since I’ve been a loyal customer, my direct debit would be lowered. They asked for my sort code, bank details, and email - I foolishly gave it to them because they sounded so convincing. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police to help catch these fraudsters.

Answered a call where there was a long pause before a man finally started talking. He claimed he could give me a big discount on my TalkTalk bill and knew my full name, number, and address. The guy sounded quite convincing, though it was clear he was Asian, but when I pressed him with questions he kept dodging them. When I asked him to send something through the post, he just suddenly ended the call. I did keep him chatting for over a quarter of an hour, which I’m sure was frustrating for him!
