This number has been ringing me a lot lately over the past few weeks. I decided to look it up and, not surprisingly, it's a scam. I'm definitely not picking up anymore and I'm going to block it for good.

Early morning at 8.23, got a call from a woman with a foreign accent who began with, "Good afternoon," but then cut herself off midway. She tried to find us by name, but I had to ask twice before she finally said she was "Joy" calling about loft insulation. I quickly told her she was trying to scam us and told her to go away.

I picked up the phone and some lady called 'Jane' said she was from an Indian call centre, offering a free loft insulation check. Below I've shared info on a system set up by the police (NFIB) to help the public report every scam call, text, email, and other fraud attempts easily. I only found out about this after complaining to my MP about the constant scam calls I was receiving. It’s clear scammers don’t want people to know this exists. If you don’t formally report these attempts, don’t expect much to be done about it. While texting 7726, informing your phone provider, Ofcom, or the companies being spoofed might help somewhat, these reports usually won’t get passed on to the police for any investigation.
