Decided to have a bit of fun with them. Said I was involved in a crash with a yellow car, registration NODDY1. They asked for my number plate and I told them UR 4 FUD (bit cheeky, I know, but these calls are so annoying). Once they clocked what they'd been given, they just hung up. This trick has worked with a few other firms too, and thankfully, they never ring again.

I got a call from someone saying they were "Goldman Scott Solicitors" but after looking online, there’s no trace of them anywhere. Total scam alert! This has to be stopped - I’m definitely reporting them to OFCOM, the Law Society, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. They shouldn’t be allowed to carry on like this, proper dodgy!

Received a call today from someone claiming to be solicitors, mentioning it was about a no fault car crash (I haven’t been involved in any accident). Then they suggested it might be connected to someone else living here, maybe one of my kids! When I asked how they got my details, they refused to say. Pretty clear this is some kind of scam.

Got loads of calls from this number then they just hang up on me. When I tried ringing back to ask them to remove me from their list, it sounded like some call centre. They put me on hold, said I’d be connected to someone soon, but after about 6 minutes it just ended with a “goodbye” and the line went dead. Proper frustrating.

If you get silent or dropped calls, make sure you report them to OFCOM. These spammers usually ignore comments here but actually get bothered when OFCOM gets involved. It only takes a few mins on their website. Don't expect your phone provider to help much, they're more interested in selling you caller ID services and making money from blocking calls.

They called saying it was about a recent car crash I’d been involved in. Since I actually had an accident, I listened for a bit - they said there was up to £5,000 reserved for me as compensation because I wasn’t to blame - then they asked for a detailed account of the crash to ‘update their records’ - which didn’t make much sense if it was already sorted - so I just hung up.
