Got a voicemail just now with pretty much the same message.

got a message on my phone saying my home was being checked because i was under some investigation. when i called back, they said i owed £1000 or i'd end up in jail. i told them it sounded like a scam and asked for anything in writing about this supposed investigation and payment. they just started shouting and swearing at me. i've already informed the police about it.

Not 100% sure if this is the exact same number but I got a call from them recently and decided to ignore it. A few weeks back I had a voicemail from some robot voice saying it was HMRC and if I didn't ring back they'd take legal steps. Reading the other feedback, looks like it's the same scam going round. The number seems to be from Southampton. Definitely a con. If HMRC had a real issue with me, they'd have sent me proper letters before all this. Still, it’s quite worrying for people who might be more easily fooled.

Just got the same robo call claiming I’ve got a lawsuit from HMRC or something and to ring them back. Totally rubbish, just a scam. Don’t fall for it!

I actually rang them back! Didn’t want to say my name, and then they just snapped at me like, "Tell me your bloody name or get off the damn phone." Can you believe they said that twice? Madness!

beware this number is a total scam. they send an automated call claiming to be from hmrc, saying they’re monitoring your home and threatening legal action if you don’t ring back. definitely dont pick up or return their calls!

The person on the other line was really odd. I tried returning the call, but as soon as I asked for their identity, they just hung up on me. Definitely stay away from this number.
