Got a call from a guy speaking with an accent, kept insisting my phone was connected to Virgin Media. Told him I’m actually with Sky, but he just wouldn’t back down. He kept saying my name and repeating that my line is definitely with Virgin. When I told him again I’m with Sky, he started swearing at me, calling me all sorts of names. Then he shouted, “I’m not your slave!” I was shocked and told him that’s no way to speak to anyone. He got really loud and aggressive, which was quite upsetting. Surely there must be something that can be done to stop this kind of behaviour?

Today, I got a call from this number, and right off the bat, the young lady claimed that Virgin Media had discovered numerous issues with my router. She then requested that I connect my mobile to the WiFi, but I informed her that I don't use it. After that, she abruptly hung up. During our conversation, there were plenty of warning signs that made me certain it was some sort of scam.
