I set my phone so that any calls from numbers I don’t recognise just go straight to voicemail without ringing or alerting me. So far, no messages have been left, and I’ve also blocked that number.

I got a call from a woman speaking with an African accent claiming she worked for my pension company. She actually named my real pension provider correctly, which caught my attention. Luckily, I was out at the time and told her to call me again later. When she rang back, I missed it and tried to ring her but couldn’t get through. So, I decided to check online to see if it was a dodgy call. Seems like it was indeed some sort of spam.

Thursday morning, my phone buzzed and this woman was on the line struggling to explain stuff about my pension. I gave her answers to a couple of things but then just hung up. Later, the phone rang again but I ignored it. The call came through at 09:24 from the number 02380019712.
