I got a call from a woman speaking with an accent from the Indian subcontinent, and there was this usual call-centre buzz in the background. She claimed to be from BT, telling me there'd been a minor issue at their exchange and I had to reset my internet. I wasn’t convinced at all but pretended to go along with it for a bit.

I could tell it was a call centre cos there was this weird delay, and a bloke said hello, but I didn’t bother replying. I’m getting about 4 calls daily from loads of different numbers, and this was just one of the many. It’s really messing with my work. Honestly, makes me think about cutting off my landline altogether.

I saw there was a missed call from this number so I ended up blocking it straight away.

The guy on the phone had a sort of Indian accent and you could hear noise like they were in a call centre. He said he was from BT and claimed my router had been giving them problems for a couple of weeks. I told him to just send me a replacement router, but he said that wouldn't fix anything. Then he told me to stand right in front of the router. I refused and asked if he was genuinely from BT and how I could prove it. After that, he just cut the call. No clue what he was up to after that.

Got a call today from a bloke claiming to be from British Telecom, said my modem was sending out signals showing internet issues. Had a strong Indian accent. I decided to keep him chatting for ages. He tried to get me to open cmd and type netstat - don’t ever do that, it’s dodgy. After a while, I asked for his name and he gave me 'Mike Williams'. When I questioned that, he said the number was registered to the previous owner, but I told him he was full of it and just a scammer. He got all shouty and tried to guess our postcode, which was wrong as well. I called him out again and then he just hung up. Honestly, mess about with them as much as you can - better they waste time on you than trick some vulnerable older folks.

they keep blabbering on like some kinda robot, then when its finally your go, out of nowhere you get all that "your pc needs assistance" rubbish. sounds more like they're desperate than urgent if you ask me.

Someone called me claiming to be from BT, but their accent was so foreign I couldn’t make sense of it. I haven’t bothered to verify if it was actually BT or not.

Got a silent robocall from a number that apparently isn’t even real. Tried to ring it back but it just doesn’t exist! Proper annoying.
