Got a call from this number today at about 9.07am, some bloke with an Asian accent. He was struggling to make sense but said something about being from BT Openreach support. I let him talk nonsense for a bit, then he asked if I was still listening and how I was doing. I just replied, “I’m alright, cheers. Bye,” and ended the call.

Seems like loads of folks who answered calls from 02156985264 reckon the person’s pretending to be from BT and asking to access their computers remotely. For me, I had issues with my phone line and internet not long ago, then this number started ringing me. Makes me wonder if the caller’s got some sort of insider info from BT itself? The phone made a noise and when I answered, there was nothing but silence. So, I tried calling back, only to find that the number wasn't familiar at all. Quite frankly, this is simply intolerable!

This morning I got a call from 02156985264. I’ve got call blockers on my phone, so I’m pretty suspicious of numbers like this. No genuine provider such as BT would randomly ring like that. I’ve had calls before claiming to be from Talk Talk, but they turned out to be scams too. They even tried to scare me by saying my internet would be cut off for two months, which isn’t possible. They had no clue who my actual provider was, and I don’t share that info with anyone. Best advice: only pick up calls from people you know and never share any personal info about yourself or your family.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded really hard to understand, said he was from BT or something, going on about my phone line being at risk of hackers. I just said, "Right, this is a scam then," and slammed the phone down. I mean, if BT's ringing you out of the blue without you trying to contact them first, what else could it be other than a scam? Makes no sense at all!

A bloke with an Indian accent, calling himself 'John Parker', said he was ringing from BT. He told me someone had hacked into my internet and all my gadgets, and that he needed to access my internet settings to sort it out. He asked if I had a laptop or desktop, but I didn’t reply and just put the phone down. Even then, he stayed on the line for about three minutes trying to get me to talk. Total scam, just after my login info.

Received a call this morning at 10:15 from a chap claiming to be from BT technical support. He went on about some hackers apparently exploiting my IP address and insisted that they required access to my laptop to fix it. I told him I appreciated the warning but I’d rather get in touch with BT directly myself. At that point, he cut the line. What a ridiculous scam!

Received a call from this number at 10:12 am yesterday, 20th November 2017. I never pick up these types of calls anymore since I've got a phone with an automatic call blocker. So now they can't reach me at all. I used to have a bit of fun telling them I was working at the same company they were calling from. Since the start of 2011, I've been bombarded with a staggering 1,464 of such calls! These days, I compile a monthly report for my Member of Parliament, who's working hard to help us eliminate these nuisances.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from BT about my broadband. I told him I wasn’t buying it and asked for his number. The cheeky guy just repeated the BT 0800 number. When I asked what he wanted, he just hung up on me! I dialled 1471 afterwards and the number showed as 02156985264, which doesn’t look like a real BT contact. These calls to my landline are driving me mad!

Had a call from someone claiming to be Peter from BT Security - worst Indian accent I’ve ever heard! He said someone was using my internet for dodgy stuff and offered to sort it out. When I told him I don’t even own a computer, he just hung up on me. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Today, we got another call, with the same "I'm from BT" spiel. My partner told them to remove our number from their list and said he was aware they weren’t really from BT. Some bloke from India saying he was with BT called me. I just cut him off right away.

Received a call back on 25th October 2017 from someone saying my internet would be cut off for 48 hours. When I asked if they thought I was with BT, they said yes. I told them I wasn’t a BT customer, and they replied that my own provider would contact me soon. Then, when I asked why, they claimed some unknown people were using my internet and it needed to be checked for security reasons. I just thanked them and ended the call. Don’t get worried or fooled by calls like this!

I received a rather dubious call purporting to be from BT, insisting that hackers had compromised my IP address and were unlawfully utilising my internet connection. They asked me to connect my laptop so they could purportedly remedy the situation. I firmly told them that if there was indeed an issue that needed attention, they'd better send out an engineer, seeing as I already pay a handsome amount for their services. After that, I promptly disconnected the call. Honestly, do they really believe I'm gullible enough to fall for such nonsense?

Earlier today, around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I received a call from a rather gentle-voiced gentleman of Indian descent. To my surprise, he addressed me by my first name, which he clearly knew. He stated that he was with the UK Police National Crime Investigation Service. However, when I asked him for his officer ID number, he abruptly cut the call.
