Got a call from 01344484387 claiming they were from BT. Asked if my broadband was ok and if I had a mobile phone. Then they told me to get on my computer, and that’s when I decided to just end the call.

I got a call from an Asian guy claiming I was owed money for a loan from years ago. He wanted me to jot down some info which made me suspicious coz I never took a loan from HSBC before. Then he passed me to another Asian bloke who said the same thing, wanting details and even tried to say my own phone number - that wasn’t right at all! I hung up, but he called back like five times. I let the phone ring without picking up, but never got any voicemail or message. Seemed dodgy to me.

Even though my number is on the TPS list, I got a call from 02151215115. A guy named "Mike" claiming to be from "UK Financial Services" called. Pretty sure it’s a scam, and he sounded like an Asian bloke. Avoid!

Received a call early today. I've been bombarded with those pesky "PPI" calls lately, so when the phone rang, I answered with: "Good morning, you're speaking to 'ABC Limited'. How may I assist you?" That seemed to catch them off guard, and they hung up rather swiftly! Though, I suppose it might have been a mate inviting me for a pint at the pub...!

In the past 48 hours, I've had yet another call from this number. They're attempting to refund me for a loan I’ve overpaid, but when I requested that they cease their calls, the bloke had the audacity to tell me to "bugger off." I’m absolutely livid and want to take this matter further. It's a shocking situation, especially considering there are vulnerable elderly folks who could easily fall prey to these scoundrels.

I've been receiving daily calls from this number, and it's quite maddening. Oftentimes, there's nothing but silence on the other end, or they blurt out something about owing PPI. It's rather frustrating because my phone doesn't seem to have the capability to block this number at all.

This number has rung me no fewer than twenty times, and they even have my name and address. They keep insisting that I’m entitled to PPI and are asking for my banking information. Is there any way to block this number?

This number has called me loads of times but I always just let it go to voicemail and they never leave a message. I finally picked up today, some guy with an Asian accent asked for me by name. I told him I don't live here now, he asked again and sounded annoyed before hanging up. Wondering if they'll keep ringing or if this will make them stop? Guess I'll have to wait and find out!

This bloke with an Asian accent called and specifically asked for me. I told him “He’s not here at the moment” and he snapped back, “Then why are you the one picking up his phone?” After he threw a few swear words at me, I just ended the call. Usually I think of scammers being slick, polished folks with rehearsed lines that sound believable. This guy deserves a whole different category.

I received a call from this number claiming I was eligible for PPI, which I found rather dubious considering my current bankruptcy status. Realising it was a load of nonsense, I swiftly ended the call. To my dismay, they persisted in ringing back and tried to debate the matter with me. In the end, I decided it was best to ignore the incessant ringing altogether.

Got a call from an Asian guy on this number saying I had PPI owed. Told him straight up he was trying to con me and ended the call. Then he called again asking if I was "some kind of idiot" or something. He kept ringing loads but I just left it. Pretty obvious scam. The end.

Had this bloke on the phone all rude, telling me I supposedly had PPI of £4000 from LTSB between 2005 and 2009. Thing is, I’ve never taken out a loan from any bank. He kept insisting I did. It’s weird how he seemed to know more about my finances than I do myself - like he’s been sorting it while I’m asleep or something (which I definitely haven’t!). What really creeped me out though was how much personal info he already had - my name, address and all that. Not impressed at all.

They kept ringing me, saying I supposedly had £3000 finance with Halifax and hadn’t been told about the PPI charges - now this caller claimed they'd sort it out. Complete rubbish. I acted clueless so now he wants to speak to my husband at 5.30pm. Yeah right, that’s not happening - I’ve blocked the number after reading all your comments. Cheers for the heads-up! Also, watch out for 08006121691 - they seem to know stuff about my Sky account, which is quite concerning.

They phoned me twice within 2 minutes. First time I told him I wasn’t interested but he just kept going, so I said goodbye. Then he called again and kept asking to speak to me. Got a call from someone who said his name was John, but I’m not convinced - sounded like he was Indian and couldn’t really put a proper sentence together. Got a call earlier saying I was owed a refund from a loan supposedly taken out back in 2005 and paid off by 2008. They said it was with Lloyds TSB through some finance firm that’s now (surprise surprise) gone out of business. Got a few calls from an Indian bloke this afternoon, about 4 times in total. What I found useful, and others seem to agree, is to say “hold on a sec” and then carry the phone off to another room. Just get on with whatever you were doing and check back after a couple of minutes. Usually by then they’ve given up and hung up. The most annoying one stayed on the line for about 8 minutes, but since they’re paying for the call, not me, I just chuckled.

Got a call from someone saying I’m owed £2400 back, sounded Asian but he had a proper English name or something. A few weeks back, I pretended to go along with it, jotted down everything he wanted me to say, then got put through to some supervisor. My elderly mother, who is battling dementia, has been plagued by calls from this particular number. I received a rather curious call at home today, where the individual on the other end inquired after Mrs Stephen X. They were prattling on about the Telephone Preference Service and mentioned that they’d be reporting me - a rather peculiar move, considering we’ve never taken out a loan in our lives! It’s odd how they confused my parents' names as well. To add a bit of mischief to the conversation, I chose to play along by refusing to disclose my postcode and address, which was amusingly incorrect to begin with. Today at around 12.15, I got a call from a lady with an Asian accent. I wasn’t really up for chatting, so I just stayed quiet and listened. I found myself in a remarkably similar situation and the chap claimed to be from some financial services, yet his tone was quite eerie and off-putting. While I was at my late brother's place, sorting through his belongings, I inadvertently picked up his phone. This Asian gentleman had the audacity to refer to me as Mrs B, my brother's widow. Earlier today, I received a rather suspicious phone call from a gentleman with an overseas accent. He claimed that I had an outstanding loan, and there was a rather hefty sum of £4,800 waiting for me to claim. Naturally, I was curious to know how he came by such information, and he asserted that it had been sourced from the bank. I expressed my discontent about my personal banking details being shared so casually and asked him to hang on while I reached out to my bank for clarification. At that point, he abruptly disconnected the call. Curious, I used the 1471 service to trace the number, which turned out to be the one listed above. I just received a rather alarming call from this number, claiming I took out a loan back in 2005 and supposedly repaid it in 2009, with a promise of £1500 owed to me. They mentioned two banks, neither of which I’ve ever had an account with. The caller then tried to pressure me into telling his manager that I had indeed taken out the loan. After a bit of back-and-forth, I asked to speak to the supervisor directly. When I explained to him that they had completely incorrect information about me, he promptly hung up. It's quite unsettling that they knew my full name and home address. I received a call from someone with a thick accent who inquired whether I had taken out a loan back in 2005 and subsequently settled it in 2009 - which I confirmed. Then he probed about PPI, to which I replied that I was unaware of having any. When he pressed me for the bank's name, my memory failed me, and he asserted it was Lloyds. He insisted I needed to answer a series of questions to claim £1500, repeating them thrice before transferring me to his manager. When I challenged the purpose of the call, he seemed rather perturbed and abruptly ended the conversation. Shortly after, the same number attempted to reach me three more times, but I chose not to pick up. Mark my words, it’s a dodgy setup and rather amateurish at that. Received a rather odd call from a chap named Kevin who had a bit of an accent that wasn’t local. When I inquired about his reason for calling, he flatly stated, “I’ve rung up today just to hurl some insults and foul language at you.” I thought I’d humour him and replied, “Splendid, do carry on then,” but he bizarrely decided to hang up! Quite the strange encounter!

Just received a rather dodgy call myself a short while ago, about twenty minutes back. The bloke on the line couldn't seem to give me the name of his company and started probing about a loan I supposedly took out way back in 2005-like that's credible! I didn’t waste any time and just cut the call.

A chap with a strong accent rang me up claiming to represent a financial firm, saying he was inquiring about a loan I'd settled back in 2009, which is rather curious as I haven't had one! When I pressed him on how he obtained my number, especially since I’m ex-directory, he suddenly fell quiet and then abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I just had a rather peculiar phone call from this number. A chap was on the line insistently asserting that I had secured a loan back in 2005 and had settled it in 2011. Before I could even consider engaging further or divulging any information, I requested him to clarify why he was calling. To my surprise, he promptly ended the call. Quite the odd encounter!

I received a call earlier today intended for my husband, who wasn't available at the time. When I inquired about the purpose of the call, the gentleman mentioned it was regarding a bank refund. However, when I pressed him on which bank it was concerning, he abruptly ended the call. Very odd, indeed!

I received a call from this number earlier. I could catch the surname but couldn't quite decipher the first name. When I mentioned that I had no idea who they were inquiring about, they simply hung up. Earlier today, a woman called me and mentioned something regarding a prior loan I supposedly had. When I explained that I've never applied for a loan, she promptly disconnected the call. I can't help but think this is related to the previous call. Isn't there a way to put an end to these incessant calls? It's quite alarming that they seem to have access to our personal details. They shouldn’t be able to use our names or contact information like this, especially when many have such strong foreign accents.

Had a right irritating experience with this PPi call! They knew my name and just wouldn't stop ringing me back even after I hung up! What a bother!

Had a couple of calls from this number. The first one was really weird - just loads of giggling and someone saying "oh my god" over and over before they hung up. Next time I answered, I tried to find out what they wanted. Like others have said, they mentioned something about a loan refund. I’ve never taken a loan, especially not back in 2004, so it’s obviously dodgy. Just a heads up for everyone, watch out for these scams!

I received a call from this chap who immediately started droning on about PPI. When I mentioned that I hadn’t been involved with anything relevant to me, I asked him to refrain from calling me again. That’s when things took a nasty turn. He became rather nasty and used some foul language more than once, which prompted me to hang up. Just two minutes later, he was at it again, incessantly ringing. Eventually, I asked him what he actually wanted, and his response was quite revolting; he mentioned something about wanting me to visit his home for work. When I probed further about the nature of the work, he made some utterly inappropriate comment. I’m turning 65 next month, so it was quite distressing. Consequently, I reported the incident to the police through 102, and they took down all the necessary information. Honestly, I’m a bit shaken up and think I’ll avoid answering calls for the next few days.

Someone rang me claiming to be from a PPI Claims company based in Manchester, trying to confirm my details. They said the bank had handed over my info to get in touch. They mentioned I supposedly took out a loan back in 2005 for about £5000 and that I was owed £4000 compensation. They assured me it was free to claim. I asked them to send all the info over, but I’m certain this is a SCAM. They knew a bit about me which could easily fool others who are more trusting. These unsolicited calls really should be banned!

I experienced something quite similar to what others have mentioned regarding a PPI claim on a £3,500 loan. After having a chat with a representative who read from a script, they assured me someone would return my call. When I eventually received a callback, I was asked for personal details to facilitate a swift response. However, when I inquired about their phone number to ring them back, the caller became evasive and abruptly disconnected the call. Clearly, it was a dodgy affair-be wary!

This afternoon, I received a couple of calls from this number. On the first ring, a woman’s voice inquired if I was on the line and claimed she was calling from some sort of department. Unfortunately, the rest of her words were a bit muddled. I chose to hang up during that call and completely ignored the second one.

Got a call on my phone from someone looking for my sister-in-law. He seemed to know bits about her, but not that she’s moved away. He kept pressing to find out who I was, and I told him it was none of his business since he wasn't trying to speak to me. He wouldn’t drop it, so I ended the call. Then he rang back swearing at me for hanging up. Definitely a scam!

I've received four calls from this number today alone, claiming I have a whopping £2,500 waiting for me (if only!). It's utterly infuriating! The more I try to get rid of them by hanging up, the more insistent they become. Does anyone have a clue on how to put an end to this relentless nuisance?

A chap just phoned me up, claiming I’d forked out too much on a loan. I was silent for a couple of minutes, then just cut the call. He tried again, so I answered with a bit of an odd tone. He asked why I hung up, and I replied it was simply my choice. He then inquired if I was disabled, to which I cheekily admitted, "Yes, I've lost my marbles." He sounded puzzled and asked what I meant, and I told him I’ve read something that’s scrambled my wits. After that, he swiftly ended the call.

Got a call from 0215 121511 just now, the line was really weak and the woman’s voice was almost impossible to hear. She asked for me by name so I asked who was calling. She said it was about insurance and mentioned I took out a loan back in 2005. I asked which company, and she said Lloyds Bank. I told her I’ve never had a loan and told her not to call me again before hanging up. Used 1471 and checked the number - turns out it’s from India. Honestly, someone needs to sort this out before some poor soul falls victim to their scam!

Got a call from a guy with a posh English accent who actually knew my mum's full name and where she lives. He said she’d paid too much on her credit card and was about to give her some money back. Then he asked how old she is. That made her suspicious, so she questioned who he really was. He asked one more time for her age, and when she questioned him again, he just cut the call. Proper dodgy, definitely a scam. Really made her feel uneasy.
